Since 2022, I have led high-level business delegations to explore opportunities in 13 Belt and Road countries across ASEAN, the Middle East, and Central Asia. At its core, the Initiative is about forging new connections, turning potential into opportunity and opportunity into tangible development that benefits communities around the world. ASEAN, Central Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America are among the regions with the greatest growth potential. As an important commercial platform for the Belt and Road Initiative, Hong Kong will continue to leverage its unique strength in connecting the Chinese Mainland with global markets. Today, it has facilitated over 70 million passengers and transported over 90 million metric tons of freight, contributing to expanding our trade profile from just 13 regional commodity categories to more than 4,000 types of products today. Driven by this advanced connectivity, bilateral trade between Lao PDR and China has achieved a new milestone, surpassing 9.8 billion US dollars. It has successfully transformed the Lao PDR from a landlocked country into a land-linked regional logistics hub. Toronto, Ontario--(ACN Newswire - September 9, 2026) - Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) today announced the 2026 TSX30®, an annual ranking of the 30 top-performing companies based on three-year dividend-adjusted share price performance. The 2026 list delivered the strongest average returns since the program launched in 2019, with 785% average dividend-adjusted share price appreciation over three years-nearly double the 431% achieved by the 2025 TSX30. Collectively, the 2026 TSX30 companies represent $252.6 billion in total market capitalization, having added $225.7 billion in market value over three years. Topping the list for the second consecutive year is Celestica Inc. Over the same period, Celestica's market capitalization increased from $1.9 billion to $59.5 billion (as at June 30, 2026), demonstrating how rapidly a Canadian company can scale into a major global market player. Celestica also joined the S&P/TSX 60 Index* during the three-year period covered by this year's TSX30. Beyond the record returns, this year's TSX30 tells a broader story of company-building in Canada, exemplifying how high-growth companies can successfully scale into larger, globally competitive companies. Four distinct sectors are represented among the top five companies, reflecting the diversity of Canada's public markets and the emergence of companies competing in important areas of the global economy, from critical minerals and advanced technology to energy and industrial capacity. "Just as nation-building is a priority for Canada, company-building must also be a national priority," said Loui Anastasopoulos, CEO, Toronto Stock Exchange. "The 2026 TSX30 demonstrates the potential of Canadian companies to grow, scale and compete with the best in the world. Half of this year's top performers are graduates of TSX Venture Exchange, a powerful example of how Canada's capital markets can help build the next generation of Canadian champions and support them as they grow into globally competitive companies." "We continue to scale our business by enabling critical AI data center infrastructure and advancing technologies in high-growth markets. This recognition is a testament to our people, our capabilities and our continued focus on delivering value for our customers and shareholders." Half of the companies on the 2026 TSX30 are graduates of TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV), the highest number of TSXV graduates featured in a TSX30 ranking since the program's inception. The 15 graduates span mining, energy, technology and industrial sectors, including 11 of the 18 mining companies and both oil & gas companies on the list. Mining representation broadens across precious metals and critical minerals Mining companies account for 60% of the 2026 TSX30-18 of 30 companies-the highest number of mining companies in a TSX30 ranking, and up from 57% last year. Gold companies remain strongly represented amid continued economic and geopolitical uncertainty, with Montage Gold Corp. Universitas Brawijaya Forest operates thermal drone to strengthen fire mitigation

MALANG, E. JAVA, Indonesia, Sept 9, 2026 - Although this thermal drone helps in detection, its flight duration is limitedlasting a maximum of about 30 minutes per flight. Conducting longer patrols requires additional batteries and a schedule of two patrols per week. Universitas Brawijaya (UB) Forest management is strengthening forest fire mitigation techniques by deploying a Matrice 30T thermal drone which capable of detecting hotspots from the air within the area. Muhammad Yusuf, the Coordinator for Forest Area Protection and Supervision at UB Forest, stated in an official release received in Malang City, East Java, on Thursday, that the technology assists personnel in obtaining preliminary information regarding suspected fire hotspots before field interventions are carried out. "If a hotspot is detected, we immediately go to the site to check. If a fire is found, it will promptly be extinguished," Yusuf said. The use of this drone represents a preparedness measure by UB Forest management to prevent fires amidst an increasingly drier dry season.Such dry conditions necessitate more intensive monitoring patterns. The team utilized the technology to monitor the area between August 25 and 27, 2026, yielding results when a fire was detected just outside the sitespecifically in the border zone between UB Forest and the adjacent to forest area. Nevertheless, Yusuf noted that findings from aerial monitoring remain a concern for personnel, as the fire could potentially spread into UB Forest if not addressed quickly. He added that the detected fire was successfully brought under control and extinguished. Afterward, personnel conducted a sweep to ensure no new hotspots emerged, including within the UB Forest area itself. Thankfully, everything is still safe; the team conducted another check using drones, and nothing was found, he said. In an effort to safeguard the forest area, management involves local farmers who cultivate the land through a cooperation agreement scheme.Rifqi Rahmat Hidayatullah, the Coordinator of Functional Position Group (KJF) for Education, Training, and Development at UB Forest Management Unit (UPT), explained that the use of thermal drones is one way to extend the reach and strengthen patrolswhich are traditionally conducted on the groundto detect potential fires. Foot or motorcycle patrols have limited range, he noted. He further explained that the Matrice 30T thermal drone is equipped with sensors which capable of detecting surface temperatures. When an area with a higher temperature than its surroundings is detected, officers can direct the drone to that location to inspect it using the device's zoom-capable camera. Yulianto Muji Nugroho, an Educational Laboratory Technician (PLP) at UB Forest, stated that in a single flight, the drone can cover an area of approximately 10 hectares, with a maximum monitoring range of about 500 meters. This capability allows officers to monitor a wider area from the air. In one flight, the Matrice 30T can cover an area of around 10 hectares, with a maximum monitoring range of about 500 meters of 60-80 ht. This reach helps officers gain an initial overview of the area's condition without having to manually sweep the entire site. “Although this thermal drone helps in detection, its flight duration is limitedlasting a maximum of about 30 minutes per flight. Conducting longer patrols requires additional batteries and a schedule of two patrols per week. he said. Due to these limitations, the drone serves as a supporting tool within the early detection system rather than a replacement for field patrols.Despite the use of technology, UB Forest managers recognize that fire mitigation still requires public awareness.
