Episode 1912 of the No Agenda Show, titled 'Chaos Dynamic' and published October 15, 2026, delivers one of the most consequential announcements in the program's history. Host Adam Curry, broadcasting from the Texas Hill Country with guest co-host Matt Long of the Matt Long Show on Hill Country Patriot FM, confirms that his final episode will air October 29, concluding a 19-year run of twice-weekly media deconstruction. The news follows the death of longtime co-host John C. Dvorak and marks a definitive turning point for the listener-supported podcast Curry and Dvorak launched in 2007.
Across more than three hours, Curry and Long weave the farewell narrative through the week's news cycle. Topic threads include:
James Talarico's Texas Senate town hall, his flu absence, and his comments on abortion and scripture
The Wall Street Journal report on Ken Paxton's New Year's Eve 2024 Dubai trip
Starshield connectivity throttling in Ukraine and Elon Musk's response on X
Greta Thunberg's reappearance at French student protests amid Macron's budget fight
An AI-linked cyberattack that spoiled food at roughly 150 Intermarché, Carrefour, and Monoprix stores
Curry frames his exit as a spiritual rather than professional decision, rooted in his conversion three and a half years ago. Speaking directly to the audience, he explains the toll of the show's cynical format on his evolving worldview.
When John died, honestly, so did the show as we know it. Listening to a show like No Agenda requires two people who have a relationship. Our relationship was entirely unique.
He adds that he had been preparing to raise a transition with Dvorak before the double bypass surgery that ultimately preceded his co-host's death.
Curry details the ventures that will absorb his focus after October 29, including Godcaster, a platform that turns churches into hyper-local radio stations and now supports more than 300 Christian stations, along with the We Get to Do This podcast co-hosted with Pastor Jimmy and a forthcoming book. He credits producer Chuck Lorre's observations about sitcom family dynamics as a lens for understanding what made the Curry-Dvorak partnership irreplaceable. Long, who hosts the Fredericksburg No Agenda meetups at J6er Jenny's Bar 1776 with his wife Gail, provides on-air support, discussing his Benjamin Franklin reenactments, the Muse AI assistant, and a tip-of-the-day on acetone as a universal cleaner.
About No Agenda Show
No Agenda is a long-running, listener-supported podcast hosted by Adam Curry and John C. Dvorak that takes a skeptical, independent look at mainstream media, politics, culture, and the forces shaping the daily news cycle. The East African Community (EAC) Partner States have advanced regional efforts to strengthen e-commerce and digital trade, with a focus on improving data and monitoring, building consumer trust, enhancing preparedness for implementation of the AfCFTA Protocol on Digital Trade, and accelerating implementation of the EAC E-Commerce Strategy.
The measures were discussed during the EAC Regional E-Commerce Engagement Platform meeting held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, from 13th to 15th October, 2026. The Platform provides a structured mechanism for Partner States to collaborate on areas critical to the effective implementation of the EAC E-Commerce Strategy, including policy and regulation, digital infrastructure, logistics, cybersecurity, online marketplaces and payment systems.
A major focus of the meeting was strengthening the Monitoring and Evaluation Tool for the EAC E-Commerce Strategy. Partner States reviewed and updated baseline data, drawing on recommendations emerging from National E-Commerce Engagement Platforms held between September and October 2026. The process is expected to strengthen the availability and quality of data for tracking implementation of the Strategy and informing policy decisions.
The Chairperson of the meeting, Mr. Chris Matsiko, Commercial Officer at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives, Uganda, noted that e-commerce presents significant opportunities to expand market access, facilitate cross-border trade, promote entrepreneurship and enable micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) to participate more effectively in regional and global value chains.
“These opportunities can only be realised through deliberate and coordinated efforts to address prevailing challenges, including gaps in digital infrastructure, regulatory frameworks, logistics, payment systems, digital skills, consumer protection and the availability of reliable data to inform policy decisions,” said Mr. Matsiko.
The meeting also considered lessons emerging from the Knowledge Exchange Forum on Building Trust in E-Commerce, held in Switzerland and Serbia in July 2026, and identified priority areas for regional action to strengthen trust and confidence in cross-border e-commerce. These actions include harmonising consumer protection frameworks, strengthening online dispute resolution mechanisms, promoting initiatives that enhance trust in digital transactions, and deepening public-private dialogue to support a more secure, transparent and enabling regional e-commerce environment.
Speaking during the meeting, Mr. Gordon Kalema, Eastern Africa Regional Digital Integration Project (EARDIP) Project Manager, noted that digital trade presents an important opportunity to deepen regional integration and expand market opportunities for East African businesses.
“Intra-EAC trade has grown from USD 1.6 billion in 2005 to USD 19.65 billion in 2025, underscoring the significant potential of e-commerce to build on this progress by expanding market access, creating new opportunities for businesses and further deepening regional economic integration,” said Mr. Kalema.
Partner States also reviewed progress in implementing the EAC E-Commerce Strategy and considered measures to further strengthen coordination and accelerate implementation. Through continued cooperation under the Regional E-Commerce Engagement Platform, the EAC seeks to foster a more coordinated, trusted and evidence-driven environment in which businesses and consumers can take advantage of the opportunities presented by e-commerce and digital trade.
Through the Eastern Africa Regional Digital Integration Project (EARDIP), the EAC is advancing the development of a regional single digital market by strengthening connectivity, harmonising data governance, enhancing cybersecurity, improving digital payment interoperability and supporting cross-border e-commerce. Together, these interventions are helping to create a more connected, secure and integrated digital environment in which businesses and consumers can access services, transact and participate in the regional digital economy across borders.

To counter a growing epidemic of online fraud during Cybersecurity Awareness Month this October, JA Africa (www.JA-Africa.org) has launched CyberSmart, a practical digital security course that equips young Africans with simple, lifelong habits that keep cybercriminals at bay. Aligned with this year's Cybersecurity Awareness Month theme, "Don't Make It Easy for Them," the course delivers actionable digital safety education directly to young people across the continent.
The launch comes at a critical time. According to INTERPOL’s African Cyberthreat Assessment Report 2026, Africa now has approximately 570 million internet users who depend on digital platforms for banking, healthcare, education, and government services. Yet the security systems, laws, and institutions meant to protect them have not kept up with the speed of adoption, leaving users exposed to cybercriminals.
According to the same research findings, reported cybercrime losses across Africa more than doubled between 2024 and 2025, rising from US$192 million to US$484 million, while identified victims grew from 35,000 to 87,000. INTERPOL estimates that cybercrime caused at least US$5 billion in direct economic damage across the continent in 2025, and that 55% of reported cases involved AI in some form. Mobile money fraud is now the most prevalent online scam, with 97% of responding countries identifying it as a major threat.
Digital inclusion across Africa has expanded access to education and financial tools, but cyber education has struggled to keep pace. Young people often expose themselves to identity theft, phishing scams, and account takeovers without realizing it, because they lack practical security habits.
"Every young person deserves the confidence to learn, work, connect, and build their future safely online," said Simi Nwogugu, President and CEO of JA Africa. "Through CyberSmart, JA Africa is empowering Africa's next generation with the digital safety skills needed to thrive in an increasingly connected world. By building simple cyber-safe habits today, young people can protect their opportunities tomorrow."
Unlike generic, highly technical cybersecurity courses, CyberSmart was built for the day-to-day realities of young Africans:
Relatable contexts: Local scenarios and African characters navigating real situations, from protecting mobile money PINs to spotting AI-driven phishing.
Bilingual and free: Available free of charge in English and French.
Short, interactive learning: Three quick modules with videos, quizzes, and practical exercises.
A gateway to high-growth careers: An introduction to cybersecurity paths, including ethical hacking, digital forensics, cyber law, and cybersecurity analysis.
"We designed CyberSmart around the moments young people actually face online: the urgent message from a fake agent, the link that looks almost right, the request for a one-time password," said Bimpe Olufemi, Vice President, Digital, JA Africa. "When learners recognize these situations in characters and scenarios that look like their own lives, the lessons stick. Our goal is to turn awareness into everyday habits that young people carry into school, work, and business."
As a leader in youth entrepreneurship, financial-health, and work-readiness education across Africa, JA Africa is extending its reach into digital safety, now a foundational life skill for success in education, entrepreneurship, and employment. CyberSmart is hosted on JA Africa's Skills Lab platform, which has reached more than 100,000 young people across the continent since 2020, and can be accessed on any internet-enabled device.
JA Africa calls on parents, secondary school teachers, university lecturers, and community leaders to help young people build good digital habits early, at home, in schools, and in communities.
Looking ahead, JA Africa will work with its member organizations to bring CyberSmart into schools and youth learning spaces across the continent. The organization welcomes collaboration with ministries of education, technology companies, financial institutions, and telecom providers to expand access and help more young people stay safe online.
