'AI + Retail' Dual-Drive Creates Compound Growth: Huitongda Network (9878.HK) Empowers E-commerce Merchants to Improve Quality and Efficiency with 'Dabi AI'

Hong Kong, Oct 15, 2026 - As the “Double Eleven” shopping festival approaches, the e-commerce team of Jiangsu Athleta Sports Co., Ltd. is stepping up preparations for the launch of new seasonal apparel products and promotional campaigns. In the past, creating product main images required close coordination among graphic designers, models, and photo studios. Today, with the support of “Dabi AI” from Boundary Consulting, a subsidiary of Huitongda Network, virtual model try-on effects can be generated with one click, increasing the efficiency of new product launches by 5 to 10 times with sales in its e-commerce business increasing by more than 50%. Starting with empowering lower-tier retail, Huitongda has consolidated its core foundation of township mom-and-pop stores while extending its comprehensive “AI + Retail” capabilities into online e-commerce scenarios. With the continuous penetration of e-commerce merchants into Huitongda's customer ecosystem, new growth opportunities driven by the implementation of AI applications are gradually emerging. Integrating Capabilities: Synergies Between Member Stores and E-commerce Resources The new achievement of Huitongda’s “AI + Retail” dual-drive lies in a successful capability grafting. Last November, Huitongda completed the acquisition of a 57% stake in Boundary Consulting, a leading e-commerce AI company. With 15 years of experience in the e-commerce sector, Boundary Consulting has developed the “Dabi AI” platform for e-commerce merchants. The platform integrates product analysis, competitor research, visual content generation, asset management and automated tasks, helping e-commerce teams carry out business analysis, content production and task execution within a unified platform. This integration also creates synergies in both directions. Having deeply cultivated the lower-tier market for over a decade and serving more than 250,000 township member stores, Huitongda Network has accumulated authentic transaction data, short-chain supply chains, and retail scenario experience. What Boundary Consulting contributes, on the other hand, consists of e-commerce-side AI application services, customer resources, and operational expertise. By connecting the two businesses, the retail capabilities developed through serving member stores expand the growth potential of the e-commerce business, while the algorithms and content creation capabilities developed on the e-commerce side, in turn, enhance offline store operations. The same AI capabilities can be applied across different customer groups and retail scenarios, reducing marginal costs while accumulating more scenario-specific data and creating a compounding effect. This is what fundamentally distinguishes Huitongda’s dual-engine “AI + Retail” strategy from standalone AI products. Building a Competitive Moat Through End-to-End Integration From the perspective of its product matrix, Huitongda’s AI matrix is no longer a collection of isolated tools, but an integrated network connecting online and offline channels as well as the end-to-end supply chain. On the e-commerce side, “Dabi AI” serves e-commerce merchants; on the offline store side, “Qiancheng Cloud AI” and the Qiancheng AI Super Store Manager, the latter integrating more than 24 scenario-based intelligent agents, continue to provide technological capabilities to physical retail stores; on the enterprise service side, “LeapoAI” integrates over 100 specialised features to serve brand owners and factories. Underpinning these three business segments is Huitongda’s intelligent supply chain system, supported by years of experience in providing integrated operational services to retail customers. This system connects upstream supply chain partners and brand manufacturers with downstream retail stores, FMCG retail chains and e-commerce merchants, creating a closed-loop flow of commercial activities, data and AI capabilities across the value chain. In the first half of 2026, Huitongda’s AI-related revenue exceeded RMB 78.91 million, representing a year-on-year increase of 32.3% and accounting for more than 70% of its full-year AI-related revenue in 2025. These results demonstrate customer willingness to pay and progress in the commercial adoption of AI applications. For Huitongda, the value of this network extends far beyond tool-level revenue. Scenario density, depth of data, and fulfillment capabilities mutually reinforce one another—the denser the scenarios, the more authentic the data, the faster the model iteration, and the lower the unit customer acquisition and service costs. This barrier, built upon real transactions and offline fulfillment, represents a core asset that general large models can hardly acquire and is difficult to replicate in the short term. Looking at the retail sector in the AI era, what the industry truly lacks is not general models, but professional enablers capable of embedding AI capabilities into real business scenarios and continuously generating scale benefits. Driven by the “AI + Retail” strategy, Huitongda is connecting offline member stores and online e-commerce merchants, leading the retail industry toward a comprehensive AI-driven upgrade.

Jean-Marc Bellaiche to Become New CEO of the DOUGLAS Group - Sander van der Laan to Retire

DUSSELDORF, GERMANY - October 14, 2026 - Jean-Marc Bellaiche will become the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Europe’s leading premium beauty retailer, the DOUGLAS Group. He succeeds Sander van der Laan, who, after a career of 36 years in the international retail business including four years with the DOUGLAS Group, has decided to retire as an executive. The Supervisory Board of Douglas AG today appointed Jean-Marc Bellaiche as CEO with effect from 1 November 2026 for a term of four years. “This important change in the leadership at the top of the company has been prepared very thoughtfully and carefully, ensuring a smooth and professional transition”, said Dr. Henning Kreke, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Douglas AG. “We truly regret Sander van der Laan’s decision to retire, while fully respecting his choice after a long and successful career. With his departure, the DOUGLAS Group loses an outstanding leader and highly experienced retail executive who has played a pivotal role in the successful development of the Group. At the same time, we are very pleased to have appointed Jean-Marc Bellaiche, a highly experienced executive in international retail and luxury, with a strong track record across beauty, premium department stores, digital transformation, brand building and strategy. We are convinced that he will build on the progress already made and put even more focus on customer-centricity, beauty brand partnerships and operational excellence.” “I would like to thank the Supervisory Board of the Douglas AG for the confidence it has placed in me”, said Bellaiche. “I am particularly excited to join the Group at such an important moment in the evolution of the beauty industry. The DOUGLAS Group plays a leading role in the European premium beauty market and has a manifold of unique assets, including an outstanding omnichannel footprint, a large base of loyal customers, and an attractive assortment based on close relationships with beauty brands. I look forward to building on these strengths together with the management team and all my colleagues across 22 European countries, while driving the innovations and changes needed to succeed in a rapidly changing market environment.” Van der Laan said: “I am incredibly grateful for my time at the DOUGLAS Group. I have met many inspiring people, learned a great deal about premium beauty, and, together with around 20,000 colleagues, we have made significant progress. The decision to step down was not an easy one for me. But after a 36-year career, including senior leadership roles at highly respected retail companies in Europe and the United States, I feel that the time is right to retire from executive management. This is the right moment to hand over the reins to someone who can bring fresh thinking and new ideas.” The 56 year old Frenchman Bellaiche began his career at Boston Consulting Group in 1993, where he eventually became Managing Director and Global Leader of the Luxury, Fashion and Beauty sector. In 2014, he joined Tiffany & Co. as Senior Vice President and member of the Executive Committee. He subsequently held senior leadership and board positions in the technology companies Contentsquare and Arianee. After spending a decade in the United States, he moved back to Europe in 2020 to become CEO of Printemps Group, which includes the iconic French department store chain. During his five-year mandate, he strengthened Printemps’s distinctiveness and customer-centricity, introduced more exclusivities in the assortment, accelerated its international and omnichannel development, and improved the operating profitability. For the last year, he served as CEO of the luxury resort operator Sani/Ikos Group. Sander van der Laan joined the DOUGLAS Group in October 2022. Since then, he has successfully driven the transformation of the Dusseldorf-based company into a true omnichannel business and implemented significant strategic, operational, and structural improvements. Among his key achievements are a new category and exclusive-brands strategy and a comprehensive update of the store-format and -network strategy. He also comprehensively reorganized the Group‘s supply chain, further developed the digital platforms, implemented a comprehensive ESG strategy, and harmonized internal processes and structures. In 2024, the company was listed on the stock exchange. Van der Laan has also been deeply committed to further developing the corporate culture and introduced the purpose ‘Make life more beautiful’. Dr. Kreke said: “On behalf of the entire Supervisory Board, I would like to thank Sander van der Laan for his outstanding achievements and dedication to the company. We wish him all the best for this new chapter in his life. We also wish Jean-Marc Bellaiche a successful start in his new role at the DOUGLAS Group and look forward to working with him as he leads the company together with CFO Marco Giorgetta, the entire management team and all employees into its next phase of development.” About the DOUGLAS Group The DOUGLAS Group, with its commercial brands DOUGLAS, NOCIBE, Parfumdreams and Niche Beauty, is the number one omnichannel premium beauty destination in Europe. The DOUGLAS Group is inspiring customers to live their own kind of beauty by offering a unique assortment online and in around 1,970 stores. Oritain Launches Supplier Intelligence Report, Revealing a New Era of Supply Chain Collaboration

SINGAPORE, Oct 14, 2026 - Oritain, global leaders in forensic origin verification, announced the release of its Supplier Intelligence Report, a dedicated supplier deep dive building on findings from the inaugural 2026 Global Supply Chain Intelligence Report. Drawing on Oritain’s supplier intelligence* across key global manufacturing hubs, the report offers a unique view into how suppliers are responding to growing regulatory scrutiny, customer expectations and sourcing pressures. The findings challenge a common industry assumption: suppliers are not resisting transparency. Instead, they are actively investing in traceability, seeking stronger collaboration and looking for credible ways to demonstrate trust. The report suggests the industry is entering a new phase of supply chain integrity. While traceability has become increasingly established, the next challenge is ensuring supply chain claims can be supported by independent evidence. As brands, retailers and manufacturers face greater scrutiny from regulators, investors and consumers alike, the ability to substantiate provenance and sourcing claims is becoming a critical business capability. The research draws on supplier insights from key manufacturing markets, complementing findings from the 2026 Global Supply Chain Intelligence Report, which examined sourcing risk, enforcement trends and consumer trust across global supply chains, by shining a light on the evolving priorities, challenges and opportunities facing suppliers themselves. From Traceability to Trust: The Rise of Verified Supply Chain Ecosystems The Supplier Intelligence Report highlights a significant shift in supplier attitudes towards transparency and verification. Nearly 80% of suppliers surveyed already operate some form of traceability solution, while 75% are open to adopting new traceability technologies. More significantly, 77% expressed interest in participating in origin verification initiatives, highlighting growing recognition that transparency alone is no longer enough to build trust in today's supply chain environment. "The findings tell a different story than many people expect," said Gemma Lynch, Chief Customer Officer at Oritain. "Suppliers are not pushing back against transparency. They are actively looking for ways to participate in a more trusted supply chain ecosystem. The challenge is no longer willingness to engage. The challenge is ensuring claims can be substantiated with credible evidence when questions arise." Key Insights from Oritain's Supplier Intelligence Report Collaboration is Emerging as a Competitive Advantage: 77% of suppliers surveyed expressed interest in collaborating on origin verification initiatives, signalling growing momentum towards shared responsibility across supply chains. Transparency is Becoming a Business Imperative: More than 85% of suppliers describe supply chain transparency as important or very important to their business, reinforcing that transparency is now a core commercial consideration rather than a niche sustainability issue. Traceability Adoption Has Accelerated: Nearly 80% of suppliers already use traceability solutions, while 75% remain open to adopting new technologies, demonstrating continued investment across the sector. Customer and Consumer Expectations Are Driving Change: 81% of suppliers identified consumer demand as a key driver of transparency efforts, while retailer and customer requirements continue to shape investment decisions. Leadership Engagement is Growing: 73% per cent of suppliers involve executive leadership in traceability and transparency decisions, suggesting these issues are increasingly viewed as strategic priorities. Verification is the Next Frontier: As traceability becomes increasingly common, suppliers are seeking more credible ways to validate sourcing claims and differentiate themselves in competitive markets. Building the Future Through Connected Networks The report arrives shortly after Oritain announced significant enhancements to its Membership program, creating a stronger framework for collaboration between brands, suppliers and manufacturers. Combining forensic origin verification, supply chain intelligence and a growing network of verified participants, Oritain Membership is designed to help organisations move beyond isolated compliance towards a more connected ecosystem built on trust, transparency and evidence. "The future of supply chain integrity will not be built by organisations operating in isolation," said Lynch. "It will be built through networks of buyers and suppliers working from a shared foundation of trusted data, independent verification and actionable intelligence. As expectations continue to rise, organisations need more than visibility into their supply chains. They need confidence in the information they are using to make decisions. Our role is to provide the science, intelligence and verification that help make that possible." * The research surveyed 122 senior decision-makers, primarily at director level or above, across 10 markets (China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, South Korea, Türkiye, Vietnam, Singapore, Bangladesh and Pakistan), with 80% of respondents having more than four years of industry experience. For media enquiries please contact: oritainSG@slingstone.com About Oritain Oritain is a global leader in forensic origin verification, with a vision to be the source of truth in global supply chains.  Our proprietary methodology verifies origin through multiple analytical techniques – including isotopes, trace elements, and non-traditional isotopes – combined with advanced statistical modelling and a comprehensive global reference database.
