Ghana Seeks Investors Beyond Gold as Chinese Delegation, Asanko Gold Meet Lands Minister

Ghana is stepping up efforts to attract investment into mineral resources beyond gold, as the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, held separate meetings with a Chinese delegation to discuss opportunities in the mining sector and officials from Asanko Gold Ghana Limited. During the meeting with the Chinese delegation, from Sino Africa, the Minister said the country was keen to partner with investors who could help explore its largely untapped mineral potential, particularly in manganese, iron and steel. He welcomed the delegation’s expertise and expressed Ghana’s interest in partnerships that would transform its mineral wealth into value-added products, create jobs and strengthen local industrial development. The Chinese delegation expressed interest in exploring investment opportunities in Ghana’s mining industry, including the possibility of taking an equity stake in Adamus Resources. The discussions highlighted Ghana’s broader ambition to attract investors who would go beyond extracting raw minerals to support local processing and value addition. In a separate meeting, the Minister received representatives of Asanko Gold Ghana, who welcomed the renewal of the company’s mining leases, describing the decision as a positive signal to the international investment community about Ghana’s regulatory stability. The company reaffirmed its confidence in the mine’s exploration potential and plans to pursue open-pit expansion and underground mining. It also pledged to strengthen its engagement with the 35 communities surrounding its operations and reiterated its willingness to work with the government to transition about 250 square kilometres of previously relinquished concession land into community mining. Mr Buah, in response, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to making contract mining work for Ghanaian businesses without compromising workers’ welfare. He said a policy directive to the Minerals Commission would set clear standards to ensure that workers’ salaries and benefits were protected, stressing that no worker should be worse off under the transition. The Minister furthur urged Asanko to continue engaging communities and complying with the country’s laws, noting that responsible partnerships must deliver returns for investors while also improving outcomes for workers and host communities. Nigeria NOW! opens its project boardrooms to global investors in Abuja

Platinum group metals, gold, nickel, copper, lithium and rare earth elements lie together in one mineral province in Kaduna State, which the Minister of Solid Minerals Development announced in June as world-class and the Nigerian Geological Survey Agency has verified. The Ministry opens its doors to global investors at Nigeria NOW!, held at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja on 19 and 20 November. Processing is following the discoveries, as lithium facilities of $600m in Nasarawa State and $200m near Abuja sit alongside a $400m rare earth processing project in Nasarawa, and mining lease applicants must now submit value-addition plans. Annual mining revenue has risen from about N6bn before the current administration to more than N70bn by the end of 2025. The routes to export markets are moving too, as the Federal Executive Council has approved deep seaports at Bakassi and Ondo as public-private partnerships, with the Bakassi port alone valued at $2.27bn. With a month to go, investors and developers travelling to Abuja will meet these projects at close quarters. In investor boardrooms, the Government of Nigeria will review specific projects in depth, from large-scale infrastructure to multilateral programmes such as Mission 300. Speaking to Energy News Network in September, Tunde Arisekola, Senior Advisor, Geological and Minerals Information at the African Minerals Development Centre, who joins the minerals session on the first day, said that “first and foremost all international investors coming to Abuja should understand that Nigeria is ready and open for business”. In the same interview he described Nigeria’s economy as “stable, safe, peaceful and welcoming to all international investors”. The programme opens with a welcome from the Chief Host, H.E. Dr Oladele Henry Alake, Minister of Solid Minerals Development, followed by sessions on how the Ministry of Power will drive capacity into Nigeria’s industrial hubs and on the policies opening the minerals sector to foreign investment, including domestic processing and value addition. The second day turns to the pipeline of transport and port infrastructure and the $1bn Domestic Green Bond, and closes with an investors’ clinic on the 2025 Tax Act. Lagos State Government, a Nigeria NOW! partner, now regulates its own electricity market after NERC transferred oversight to the Lagos State Electricity Regulatory Commission. Hon. Biodun Ogunleye, Lagos State Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, told Energy News Network that “capital follows bankable cashflows”. The state’s job, he said, is “to create both the infrastructure plan and the commercial architecture that makes that plan financeable”. On Friday 20 November, YES! Nigeria runs alongside the main programme under the theme “Empowering Today’s Entrepreneurs, Building Tomorrow’s Industrialists”. Abuja University and Philomath University are partners, and the Youth Sustainable Development Network is Community Partner. Its opening session hands the stage to young Nigerians already at work in the sector, among them Damilola Hamid Balogun of YSDN and Emmanuel Terwase of Boost Power. Nigeria NOW! is held under the patronage of the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, with the Lagos State Government, the Nigerian Indigenous Women in Mining & Natural Resources Organisation, Women in Mining, Nextier and The Electricity Hub as partners. Distributed by APO Group on behalf of EnergyNet Ltd.. Media contact: Poliana@EnergyNet.co.uk About Nigeria NOW! From curiosity to career: Delta’s DREAM Flight continues to build the aviation talent pipeline

For approximately 160 aspiring aviators from across the Atlanta metro, Oct. 20 was the day the sky stopped being the limit. Students boarded Delta’s 26th annual DREAM Flight at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport for the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility in Mobile, Ala., for a firsthand look at the careers that could one day be theirs. Students from local Atlanta schools and organizations including, Rex Mill Middle, Elite Scholars, the Kindezi Schools, Morrow High School, OBAP ACE Academy and The Atlanta Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen S.T.R.E.A.M. Program spent the day exploring what it takes to connect the world through flight and meeting the people who make it happen. Rotating through four interactive experiences, students toured the Airbus A320 Final Assembly Line and took part in a scavenger hunt on aircraft manufacturing. They tackled aviation-themed activities and challenges at the Old Canteen Center, operated drones and flight simulators at Flight Works and explored the Advanced Manufacturing Program and facilities at Bishop State Community College. Before heading home, students heard from a panel of Delta and Airbus leaders at Bishop State, including Kurt Ford, Managing Director of Flight Training; William Cossey, Managing Director of Supply Chain Management; Tyesha Gray, Director of Human Resources; Julian Anugom, Director of In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity; and Roderick Rogers, Head of A220 Quality Product Improvement at Airbus. These leaders shared their own career journeys and answered questions about navigating the industry. “Every student on this flight has the potential to become a pilot, engineer, technician or leader. Representation can be a powerful catalyst for unlocking potential, especially when students see people who look like them building, flying and leading in this industry.  Delta’s DREAM Flight helps them better understand the variety of career pathways in the aviation industry,” said Keyra Lynn Johnson, Chief Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Social Impact Officer.  DREAM Flight’s founder honored This year, former Delta pilot and U.S. Air Force veteran John Bailey was inducted into the OBAP Hall of Fame at the organization’s annual conference. The honor recognizes Captain Bailey’s long career dedicated to opening doors for young people who dream of flying, from helping bring OBAP’s ACE Academy to Delta to founding Delta’s DREAM Flight. After flying military transport aircraft for the U.S. Air Force, including missions in Vietnam, Bailey joined Delta in 1973. As a newly hired pilot based in Boston, he often flew round-robin charter flights around the city for terminally ill children, and those flights sparked the idea to create a similar experience for kids who dreamed of becoming pilots. In July 2000, Bailey piloted the first DREAM Flight to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C., with 150 students from Atlanta City Schools on board. An all-Black crew of Delta pilots volunteered their time to operate the flight, and members of the Tuskegee Airmen greeted students in Washington. They returned to Atlanta on time, and 26 years later, DREAM Flight remains a one-day journey from takeoff to touchdown. Growing the next generation of aviators  Delta’s DREAM Flight bridges the gap between early curiosity and future career options by building students’ interest in aviation through fun, hands-on educational experiences and pairing them with mentors. By making these foundational experiences readily available and financially accessible, Delta’s partnership with OBAP has successfully reached more than 4,000 young people to date. Many DREAM Flight alumni have gone on to build careers at Delta, including: First Officer Kyle Foley was just 12 years old when he boarded the very first DREAM Flight in 2000. Seeing the pilots and controls up close for the first time set him on a path that led to a career flying for Delta. First Officer Curtis Jackson took DREAM Flight as a teen and grew up looking up to Bailey as one of Delta’s pioneering pilots. Bailey’s advice to keep pushing himself until he reached his goals stayed with Jackson on his path to the flight deck. DREAM Flight is one of several Delta programs, including WING Flight, ACE Academy and the National Flight Academy, that introduce students to aviation careers and expand the aviation talent pipeline. Working together to expand horizons Airbus and Delta have long shared common goals for the future of travel from the talent in the industry to the aircraft to get us there. Earlier this year, Delta announced the addition of 31 next-generation Airbus widebody aircraft to its fleet, an investment that will fuel international growth and accelerate fleet renewal in the years to come.  “We talk a lot about the future of aviation, but you can’t actually build that future without bringing new voices and fresh perspectives into the fold,” said Roderick Rogers, Head of A220 Quality Product Improvement in Mobile. “Opening our doors in Mobile to Delta’s DREAM flight is our way of showing these students that there is a very real, accessible place for them in this industry, whether that's in the cockpit or right here on the manufacturing floor.” Mobile is one of five cities worldwide where Airbus commercial aircraft are assembled. The Mobile Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility has more than 2,000 employees who produce A320 and A220 Family aircraft for customers in the U.S. and Latin America. Earlier this fall, Delta and Airbus also partnered on Delta’s 11th annual WING (Women Inspiring Next Generation) Flight, which brought 160 young women from Atlanta to the same Mobile facility in celebration of Girls in Aviation Day.

Uganda: Ministry calls for recruitment of environmental rangers

The Ministry of Water and Environment needs over 1,500 environmental rangers to protect the country’s wetlands, riverbanks, lakeshores and central forest reserves. This revelation was made by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Alfred Okidi while appearing before the Public Accounts Committee (Central Government) on Wednesday, 21 October 2026.  Okidi said the ministry currently relies on 238 police officers for patrols across the leaving a significant gap in enforcement. Okidi said staffing shortages extended beyond environmental enforcement, with the climate change department operating at less than 30 per cent while forestry stood at 35 to   40 per cent. He identified inadequate funding, difficulties in acquiring land and climate change as other major challenges saying the ministry received not more than 40 per cent of the resources required under its strategic plan, the Fourth National Development Plan and the government manifesto. On environmental conservation, he reported that forest coverage stood at 13.2 per cent while wetland coverage is 19.3 per cent. Okidi also told MPs that rural water coverage stood at 72 per cent and urban coverage at 73 per cent withe 82 per cent of villages having at least one reliable water source. The committee raised concerns about the ministry’s ability to extend water infrastructure to emerging towns whose populations have outgrown existing supply systems. Oshabe asked how frequently the ministry updates its mapping of new urban centres and planned extensions to existing water supply systems citing Kasanda as an example of growing demand. Okidi acknowledged the challenge saying the ministry planned to extend the Kasanda water supply scheme in this financial year. He also called for increased tree cover to help communities cope with changing environmental conditions. Mbale Industrial Division MP, Hon. Karim Masaba asked about the ministry’s preparedness for an El Niño event, particularly in highland areas where communities face climate-related risks. Cassava Artificial Intelligence (AI) deploys NVIDIA Nemotron to accelerate agentic AI adoption across its markets

Cassava Technologies (www.CassavaTechnologies.com), a global technology leader, has announced the expansion of its AI Factory capabilities with NVIDIA Nemotron open models, helping enterprises and service providers to grow and innovate with AI more effectively and affordably. Cassava is deploying NVIDIA Nemotron (https://apo-opa.co/4dRrqnx) models as a locally hosted, managed inference service through the Cassava AI Multi-Model Exchange (CAIMEx) (https://apo-opa.co/4i0dw5a). By making open models available as APIs on Cassava’s AI Factory, CAIMEx gives enterprises greater flexibility to choose the right mix of models for their applications without having to build and operate their own model-serving infrastructure. “Expanding our AI Factory across our markets is about creating the capacity and economics needed for businesses to build and deploy AI solutions at scale. By bringing NVIDIA Nemotron into CAIMEx, improving the efficiency of every GPU cycle and introducing flexible token offerings, we are giving enterprises and service providers more choice in how they access and deliver these capabilities to their customers,” said Ahmed El Beheiry, Group Chief Technology & AI Officer, Cassava Technologies.     NVIDIA Nemotron brings efficient reasoning and tool-use capabilities to CAIMEx, helping customers build AI agents that can work through complex tasks and interact with business tools. Its open model weights, training data and recipes also give developers a customizable foundation that they can fine-tune to build specialised agents tailored to their applications. As businesses mature and the AI agents take on longer-running tasks and access business systems, security and guardrails become critical requirements. These need to be built into the infrastructure, and Cassava is using NVIDIA OpenShell to bring model compute, governed agent execution and independent security enforcement together for customers’ agentic workloads to its AI Factory. The CAIMEx Token Optimiser is designed to improve the economics of generative and agentic AI by identifying information that has already been processed and, where appropriate, reusing it rather than processing the same content again. This reduces computing requirements and helps customers use their AI tokens more efficiently. The approach applies to both Cassava-hosted and third-party AI models, helping enterprises reduce unnecessary processing as their AI usage scales. The expansion is the latest step in Cassava’s development of an integrated AI ecosystem, giving businesses access to locally hosted infrastructure, models, and services, fostering trust and confidence in data security and control while supporting their growth.  Distributed by APO Group on behalf of Cassava Technologies. CHARBONE Strengthens Its Industrial Gas Offering With a Filling Unit in Sorel-Tracy

VARENNES, QUEBEC - October 21, 2026 - CHARBONE CORPORATION (TSXV: CH; OTCQB: CHHYF; FSE: K47) (“CHARBONE” or the “Company”), a vertically integrated industrial gases company focused on production, distribution and storage of clean ultra-high purity (“UHP”) hydrogen and other strategic industrial gases, announces the addition of an industrial gas cylinder filling unit at its Sorel-Tracy site. This new activity aims to support revenue growth, broaden the commercial offering and develop the Company's customer base in Quebec and other Canadian regions. Specifically, this unit will allow CHARBONE to fill hydrogen and helium cylinders directly from the onset at its Sorel-Tracy site, with the ability to expand to other industrial gases and specialized mixtures in the future. These cylinders, also known as gas cylinders, are used to store, transport, and supply the gases required for various customer applications. CHARBONE will thus directly manage this step in preparing the products for its customers. This new activity represents a further step in the development of CHARBONE's integrated platform. It aims to expand the markets accessible to the Company and generate new revenue opportunities through an offering tailored to the needs of industrial, commercial, and institutional clients. A new lever for business development The filling unit will primarily serve the Quebec market, while also supporting CHARBONE's business development elsewhere in Canada. Target customers include private companies and distribution partners, including independent distributors. The offering will also address supply needs related to certain government contracts and the defense sector. By adding cylinder filling to the activities of its Sorel-Tracy site, CHARBONE is internalizing a step previously sources externally, which is expected to support margin improvement and enhance control over product quality and delivery timelines. This enables the Company to expand the services offered to its customers, develop new business relationships and strengthen its position in industrial gases. Dave Gagnon, President and CEO of CHARBONE, declares: “Our goal is to make Sorel-Tracy a growth engine for CHARBONE. By handling the filling of helium cylinders ourselves, and later industrial gases and specialty mixtures, we are expanding our offering and opening up new opportunities to grow our revenue with a diverse clientele. We are building a Canadian industrial gas group with the ambition of becoming a leading supplier for companies seeking to source their gases from a Canadian partner, reliably. Our priority is to develop lasting relationships with our customers and translate this business expansion into long-term value creation for our shareholders.” Expanding Market Presence Across Quebec and CanadaThis initiative further develops CHARBONE beyond hydrogen production, expanding the activities and services offered within its industrial gas platform.
