Featuring a diverse range of vivid styles, the designs perfectly echoed this year's YDC promotional theme, "YOU." and featured a high-standard runway show for the audience. The evening welcomed a legion of celebrities and artists including Will Or, elka@Lolly Talk, Kaki Sham, Crystal Cheung, Ah Mui, Rachel Leung, Yatho Wong, Dylan So, Karl Ting, William Chang and Irving Cheung adding glamour and excitement to the competition as they showed their support and cheered on the participating designers. Tsui Ao Lung emerged as Champion with his outstanding design and received a cash prize of HK$60,000 and an overseas internship sponsored by Fang Brothers Knitting Ltd. Cheang King Tung, Kenneth received the Excellence Award and Best Art Direction Award, securing a cash prize of HK$40,000, an overseas study trip sponsored by MINI HK for the former, and collecting a cash prize of HK$10,000, a five-day course at VOGUE College of Fashion in London and an overseas study trip sponsored by VOGUE Hong Kong, with a total value of HK$30,000, for the latter. The “My Favourite Collection” Award, decided by public voting, went to Lam Chun Ni, Jenny, who was awarded a HK$30,000 Lee Gardens Area e-Gift Certificate sponsored by Hysan.     Champion Designer: Tsui Ao Lung Design: The Tide The design: “In truth, everyone is the same—we are all inside one massive ‘raging tide.’ “The Tide” takes inspiration from a classic Cantopop hit Kuang Chao. Through the four stages of a woman’s life, the collection depicts the ebbs, flows and turbulence of human existence driven by emotion and destiny. Prizes: Cash prize of HK$60,000, an overseas study trip sponsored by Fang Brothers Knitting Ltd. The full list of winners from YDC 2026 is as follows: Champion: Tsui Ao Lung; Design: ”The Tide” Excellence Award: Cheang King Tung, Kenneth; Design: ”NOSTALGIA” Best Art Direction Award: Cheang King Tung, Kenneth; Design: ”NOSTALGIA” My Favourite Collection Award: Lam Chun Ni, Jenny; Design: ”The Old Si-Fut and New Chai” Tsui Ao Lung, winner of the Champion title, presented a collection titled “The Tide", which takes inspiration from a classic Cantopop hit Kuang Chao. Through the four stages of a woman’s life, the collection depicts the ebbs, flows and turbulence of human existence driven by emotion and destiny. Reflecting on the demanding creative process, Mr Tsui shared: "My immediate feeling upon winning is sheer exhaustion, as this collection required extensive handcrafting. I deliberately chose artisanal materials that are a stark departure from mainstream fabrics. I believe this award will bring more visibility, but more importantly, participating in YDC has helped me truly discover my future direction and the design aesthetic I am committed to pursuing." Excellence Award and Best Art Direction winner Cheang King Tung, Kenneth presented the collection “NOSTALGIA”. Drawing inspiration from the 1983 film Nostalghia, the work explores the concepts of homeland, distance and yearning, translating his memories of Hong Kong into the language of clothing. The collection draws inspiration from Hong Kong's humid air, harbours, fishing villages, typhoon shelters and industrial landscapes. Through hand-dyeing, sewing, and experimental material treatments, it showcases the traces left behind by the passage of time. Each piece is like a poem written to Hong Kong, documenting memories, emotions, and the connection between people and the city. Sharing his thoughts after the win, Mr Cheang said: "Participating in this year's YDC has been incredibly rewarding. I am very happy that my non-mainstream work has gained mainstream recognition on the YDC platform, which further affirms my future creative direction. I believe the winning edge of my work lies in presenting a relatively complete worldview, and my method of expression was also more dramatic." The My Favourite Collection Award was decided by public voting and the winner was Lam Chun Ni, Jenny for the collection "The Old Si-Fut and New Chai”. The work is set against the backdrop of Hong Kong’s workplace culture, exploring the dynamic between the veteran "old-timers" (si-futs) and the "rookies" (new chais). She translates common workplace dictums—such as "be humble", "talk less" and "endure hardship before you succeed"—into design elements. Through variations in garment structure, proportions, and details, she captures a state of mind caught between wanting to follow the rules and the urge to rebel, as well as the growth process from imitation and integration to a re-evaluation of young people. Sharing her thoughts after the win, Ms Lam said: "Joining YDC has given me many opportunities for growth and exposure, and I am very glad that my work can be seen by more people. Thank you all for supporting this theme. Perhaps the 'old-timer' workplace phenomenon resonates deeply with everyone, and I am incredibly grateful to everyone who voted for me. Winning this award is all thanks to the immense support my friends and family have continuously given me." Internationally renowned judging panel praises show for perfect fusion of Hong Kong culture and creativity This year’s YDC featured a distinguished judging panel comprising seasoned professionals from the fashion industry and media. The panel was chaired by Katherine Fang, Chairlady of the HKTDC Garment Advisory Committee, who served as Chief Judge. The VIP Judge role was taken up by Rok Hwang, founder and Creative Director of ROKH. Overseas Judge Olya Kuryshchuk, Founder & Editor-in-Chief of 1 Granary, was unable to attend the event in person buy she reviewed the shortlisted entries and provided her expert feedback ahead of the judging process. Other esteemed judges included Tracey Cheng, Vice President of Merchandising Planning and Business Development at I.T; Jonathan Lee, Co-founder of The Molecule; Cherry Mui, Editorial Director of Vogue Hong Kong; and Kieran Ho, Senior Vice President of Hong Kong at PURPLE. VIP Judge Rok Hwang expressed his appreciation for the young contestants and their energy. “YDC is an outstanding stage for young fashion designers. The show was energetic and inspiring, showcasing a brilliant mixture of Hong Kong culture and creative energy. The winning collection truly stood out in terms of emotion and color, paired with a dramatic entrance. Once again I want to congratulate all the winners and send my best wishes to them.” Mentoring the YDC contestants this year were Alex Po and Derek Cheng, founders of PONDER.ER. Drawing on their extensive industry experience, the duo provided valuable guidance to the 10 finalists throughout the competition. It is an attitude rendered in cloth—where rigid tailoring meets the fluid decay of found textiles. Through an exclusive monochromatic lens, the collection utilizes unconventional silhouettes, tactile fabric manipulations, upcycled elements, and spontaneous layering to build a narrative of textured imperfection. It is a celebration of the impromptu touch, inviting the individual to co-create the final silhouette.   FASHIONALLY Presentation: Oplus2 Theme: My Wayward One The new collection explores the transformative power of form and structure through the lens of “flower structure”—how petals, stems, and branching forms create both stability and effortless movement. Inspired by the way flowers are engineered by nature, the collection interprets floral geometry as a foundation for personal expression, turning organic design language into wearable silhouettes.   FASHIONALLY Presentation: Szmannie Theme: The Devotion Inspired by 1920s Art Deco, this collection fuses bold geometric lines with delicate Oriental grace. We celebrate the independent woman through ethereal feather accents, intricate embroidery, and artisanal layering. Each piece balances vintage opulence with modern architectural silhouettes, embodying a spirit that is free, resilient, and unapologetic. In the heart of winter, these designs stand as a testament to the power of feminine autonomy, blending rich textures and precise craftsmanship to create an elegant, contemporary aesthetic that defies compromise. This year, we have also made first-time connections with new customers from Kuwait and Mexico. As the world's largest importer of watches and a leading exporter, Hong Kong offers the ideal stage to showcase our rich heritage and our latest innovations and R&D achievements.” At Salon de TIME, several exhibitors showcased watches inspired by the Guochao trend. Among them, Sun International Concepts Ltd. presented five renowned Chinese Mainland watch brands, including creations by Xushu Ma, Zehua Tan and Lin Yonghua, members of the Académie Horlogère des Créateurs Indépendants (AHCI) from the Chinese Mainland, who showcased their craftsmanship through distinctive Chinese timepieces. David Sun, the company's Executive Director, said the company received 17 enquiries for bespoke timepieces, including eight from Dubai, the Philippines, Thailand and other overseas markets, generating customised watch orders totalling HK$4 million. He added that the exhibition provides an effective platform for brands to connect with collectors and overseas distributors, helping Chinese Mainland brands expand into overseas retail channels and international markets. As an international platform, the fair also supports brands in expanding their overseas distribution networks and accelerating their global growth. Leveraging the Salon de TIME as an important platform for international expansion, Sea-Gull Watch and Shanghai Watch also held product launch events during the fair, showcasing Chinese watchmaking craftsmanship and innovative technologies to the international market. George Xu, CEO, Fosun Watch Group, said: “The two brands have engaged with customers from markets including India, the Middle East, Russia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. We expect sales generated from this year’s exhibition to exceed HK$1 million. Over the years, the fair has also helped us gradually expand into overseas markets. For example, a Turkish client we met at last year’s fair is now in the process of opening a dedicated retail store in Turkey. Hong Kong is also a very important market for us. Following the encouraging response to the opening of our first store in Tsim Sha Tsui earlier this year, we plan to launch our flagship store in Central after the fair. This will further strengthen our brand presence and expand our influence in both the Hong Kong and overseas markets.” The Microbrands zone attracted 29 brands from eight countries and regions this year, more than double the number recorded last year. Making its debut at the fair, MicroMilspec, an independent watch brand from Norway, showcased its new Field Master timepiece in the pavilion and received an overwhelmingly positive response. Katarina Halvorssen, Customer Relationship Management & Sales Manager, MicroMilspec, said: “More than 170 visitors came to our booth on the first day alone, including customers from Hong Kong, India, the Philippines and the United Arab Emirates. We estimate potential sales of around US$29,000. For us, the fair is not only an opportunity to showcase our brand, but also an important gateway to the Asian market.” Watchcatavlog from Hong Kong, a returning exhibitor, showcased 10 microbrands this year. Its Founder, Ciff Luk, said: “Salon de TIME allows watch enthusiasts to try on and experience the timepieces firsthand through wrist trials, while also helping brands connect directly with international buyers. We expect sales to reach HK$280,000. Visitor inquiries have increased 20% year-on-year, and we have attracted interest from buyers in Brazil, Canada, India, Kuwait, the Philippines, Singapore, and the US. Both visitor traffic and buyer quality have improved this year.” WOLF, the luxury watch storage and watch winder brand from the UK, made its debut at the Fair and launched Rocket, the world’s most compact travel watch winder, during the exhibition. Michael Jappert, Global Sales Director, WOLF 1834, Limited, said: “Through HKTDC’s Click2Match business matching platform, we have connected with around 40 potential buyers from markets including the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Dubai, Japan, Korea, the Middle East and the US. The platform has enabled us to efficiently identify and engage with quality business prospects from around the world.” Amarildo Pilo, Owner of PILO & CO SA and Founder of the Swiss Independent Watchmakers Pavilion (SIWP), said: “The fair’s international reach is a key reason why we continue to participate, helping us connect with buyers from Asia, the Middle East and the US. We have met more than 10 clients interested in our products, including three new contacts from Kazakhstan and a buyer from the Chinese Mainland. The SIWP Pavilion has also grown from 10 brands last year to 14 this year, reflecting how HKTDC’s platform helps Swiss independent brands explore new distribution opportunities and further expand into international markets.” The fairs featured a strong lineup of international exhibitors, including the Swiss Independent Watchmakers Pavilion (SIWP) from Switzerland (above) and Francéclat from France. LINK2CARE, in collaboration with Swiss watch brand MARVIN, launched a luxury smartwatch that integrates LINK2CARE’s patented leather strap with concealed, medical-grade biometric sensors. The watch provides comprehensive health monitoring and can track users’ resilience and stress levels in real time, with the data displayed directly on the watch dial. Paul Yuen, Director, Dayton Industrial Co. Ltd, said: “The fair attracted a diverse range of buyers from around the world. We also established a cross-industry partnership with a tour guide to explore new opportunities in the wellness tourism sector. Our watches, priced at over HK$2,000, sold more than 100 units on the first day alone, requiring immediate stock replenishment. In addition, the organiser’s newly introduced Time Arena activity zone, which incorporated trendy elements such as pickleball, significantly enhanced visitor engagement and attracted buyers and consumers from different backgrounds, creating more business opportunities for brands.” Salon de TIME once again offered free admission to the public, with some brands providing on-site retail sales. Abel Hwong, Publisher & Anchor, World of Luxury Times, led a 26-member delegation to the fair to purchase watches. He said: “We purchased 12 watches from three brands, with a total value exceeding HK$100,000. The fair lets collectors interact directly with brands and buy the timepieces they want, turning collecting enthusiasm into real purchases. It also helps brands connect with more watch enthusiasts and potential customers.” HKTDC will organise a series of trade fairs this autumn. The Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) and electronicAsia will be held concurrently at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) from 13 to 16 October. The Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition) will follow, to be held at the HKCEC from 27 to 30 October, and the Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo will take place at AsiaWorld-Expo from 26 to 29 October. Capital Industrial Financial Services Accelerates Expansion into Robotics and Healthcare Supply Chains, Unlocking New Growth Potential Through Upstream-Downstream Synergies

HONG KONG, Sep 5, 2026 - On 4 September, Capital Industrial Financial Services Group Limited (00730.HK, the “Company” or “Capital Industrial Financial Services”) issued an inside information announcement detailing its strategic expansion into robotics and intelligent manufacturing and a potential acquisition. According to the announcement, Shougang Industrial Investment (Beijing) Technology Innovation Co., Ltd currently holds approximately 24.84% of Beijing Robot Financial Leasing Co., Ltd. (the “Robot Leasing Company”) and, subject to applicable laws and regulations and requisite regulatory and approval procedures, intends to transfer the relevant shares to Capital Industrial Financial Services. The potential acquisition further demonstrates the Company’s strategy of extending its established supply chain management capabilities into the robotics value chain. Going forward, Capital Industrial Financial Services plans to broaden its presence across the upstream and downstream segments of the robotics value chain. Through supply chain management, equipment leasing and related services, it aims to progressively connect component and equipment suppliers, robot manufacturers, corporate end-users and a range of real-world use cases, while further developing services in equipment deployment, demand matching, supply-demand coordination, system integration and data services. Integrating the Upstream and Downstream Robotics Value Chain: Synergies Across Supply Chain, Use Cases and Data Services According to the Company’s announcement and publicly available information, the Robot Leasing Company, formerly known as Beijing State-owned Assets Financial Leasing Co., Ltd., was established in March 2014 and completed its business transformation in 2025. Under a “robotics + leasing” model, it supports the deployment of robots in real-world use cases, with a focus on addressing the “last mile” of commercialisation and adoption for innovative products. It primarily purchases robot assets from upstream equipment manufacturers and provides end users with access to equipment and related leasing services, thereby linking the upstream and downstream segments of the robotics value chain. The model is well suited to an industry characterised by rapid technological iteration, the need for real-world validation and demanding operations and maintenance requirements. The Robot Leasing Company currently serves areas including healthcare, education, elderly care, landscaping and water services, industrial manufacturing, commercial services, exhibitions and performances, and sporting events. it had connected with a cumulative 300 application scenarios, established business relationships with more than 130 robot manufacturers and facilitated the deployment of about 500 robots. On the upstream side, Capital Industrial Financial Services plans to further extend its existing supply chain management capabilities into the robotics sector, leveraging operations and factoring services to facilitate transactions across the value chain and accelerate robot deployment. This is intended to create a business model in which supply chain services and real-world applications reinforce one another. On the downstream side, the Company plans to address real-world demand through equipment leasing and scenario-based operations. Continued expansion of healthcare, education, landscaping, commercial, industrial-park and manufacturing use cases is expected to directly drive demand for robot procurement and equipment deployment. Going forward, the Company may connect equipment manufacturers with end customers across equipment selection, use-case matching, delivery, operations and maintenance, and post-lease services, allowing downstream demand to drive upstream procurement and gradually creating a cycle of “application demand – equipment deployment – supply chain procurement”. Data and platform services represent a third area of expansion. Leveraging real-world environments within the Shougang ecosystem, including steel, industrial parks, healthcare and intelligent manufacturing, the Company may further expand into demand identification, supply-demand and procurement matching, system integration and online leasing. In this model, the upstream supply chain addresses “where to source”, downstream use cases address “where to deploy”, while data and platform services capture usage feedback and supply-demand information. Together, these elements can form an integrated value chain spanning supply chain coordination, equipment deployment, use-case operations and data services. Accelerating Healthcare Supply Chain Expansion: Procurement Demand Connects Healthcare Institutions with Upstream Suppliers On the same day, in a separate voluntary announcement, Capital Industrial Financial Services disclosed that Beijing West Business Factoring Company Limited, an associate in which the Company holds a 41.41% interest, entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with SHOUYI HEALTHCARE INVESTMENT CO., LTD (“Shouyi Healthcare”) and approved a credit limit of RMB200 million for healthcare supply chain financing projects. The parties will collaborate on commercial factoring and supply chain services across the healthcare supply chain, focusing on procurement activities and supplier-related needs involving pharmaceuticals, medical consumables and medical equipment. Unlike the robotics business, where the entry point is equipment and real-world applications, the healthcare supply chain is anchored more directly in actual procurement. Procurement of pharmaceuticals, medical consumables and medical equipment connects healthcare institutions with a broad network of upstream suppliers, creating demand for supply chain services around working capital and accounts receivable. From a business synergy perspective, Capital Industrial Financial Services can leverage these procurement activities to develop commercial factoring and supply chain services addressing the working-capital and accounts-receivable needs between healthcare institutions and upstream suppliers, creating a tangible avenue for extending the Company’s supply chain management capabilities into healthcare. Interim Revenue Rises 99% Year on Year, with Supply Chain Management Emerging as the Main Growth Driver Alongside its expansion into new business areas, Capital Industrial Financial Services’ existing supply chain business has continued to scale. In the first half of 2026, the Company recorded revenue of approximately HK$95.15 million, representing a year-on-year increase of 99% and nearly double the level in the corresponding period. Revenue from the supply chain management and financial technology business amounted to approximately HK$68.00 million, up 321% year on year and accounting for approximately 71.5% of the Group’s total revenue, making it the Group’s largest source of revenue. This indicates that supply chain management is becoming a core capability connecting procurement, suppliers, equipment and real-world applications. At the same time, the Company maintained a sound asset position. As at the end of June, total assets amounted to approximately HK$1.969 billion, while capital and reserves attributable to owners of the Company were approximately HK$1.505 billion. Cash and cash equivalents stood at approximately HK$288 million, and the current ratio was 11.88 times, indicating ample overall liquidity. Rights Issue Price at a Deep Discount to Book Value Enhances Subscription Appeal Against the backdrop of rapid growth in its supply chain management business and continued expansion into new industry areas such as robotics and healthcare, Capital Industrial Financial Services has also launched a capital exercise. The Company proposed to consolidate every 50 existing shares into one consolidated share, followed by a rights issue of one rights share for every one consolidated share at a subscription price of HK$6.25 per rights share. Up to approximately 79.0788 million rights shares may be issued, with maximum net proceeds of approximately HK$488 million. For existing shareholders, taking up their rights entitlements on a pro rata basis may help preserve their relative ownership interests in the enlarged share capital while allowing them to participate in the potential growth generated by the Company’s next phase of business expansion. More importantly, the rights issue price represents a substantial discount to book value. As at the end of June 2026, capital and reserves attributable to owners of the Company were approximately HK$1.505 billion. Based on the theoretical post-consolidation share count, net asset value per share was approximately HK$19.03, implying a discount of approximately 67% for the HK$6.25 rights issue price. As the supply chain business continues to scale and the Company advances its expansion into robotics, healthcare and other new industry areas, its capital strength and financial flexibility are expected to be further enhanced. The sizeable discount to book value, together with expectations for continued business expansion, is also an important factor likely to draw market attention to the rights issue. Overall, Capital Industrial Financial Services is advancing its expansion into new industry use cases in robotics and healthcare. In robotics, development is progressing across both upstream and downstream segments of the value chain: upstream, the Company is extending into component and equipment supply chains; downstream, it is addressing real-world demand through equipment leasing and use-case operations, while further expanding into supply-demand matching, system integration, and data and platform services. Together, these activities are gradually creating a business chain spanning supply chain coordination, equipment deployment, real-world applications and supporting services. In healthcare, the Company is leveraging procurement of pharmaceuticals, medical consumables and medical equipment to develop commercial factoring and supply chain services around the needs of healthcare institutions, upstream suppliers and accounts-receivable financing. Building on its existing business base, Capital Industrial Financial Services is progressively applying its supply chain management, financial leasing, commercial factoring and financial technology capabilities across new sectors and use cases, including robotics, intelligent manufacturing and healthcare, while exploring opportunities in robot leasing and operations. As these businesses move towards implementation, the Company’s future growth drivers are expected to shift from the expansion of individual businesses towards a model of “replicating supply chain capabilities across multiple use cases”, building a business system centred on supply chain management, industrial technology and industrial finance services.
