Interns will work approximately 10 to 20 hours per week for up to six months, depending on the position. Each participant will work alongside an experienced supervisor, contribute to meaningful projects, and develop practical skills that can lead to future employment.

Flexible schedules: Work 10 to 20 hours per week, allowing time for school and other commitments.

Priority is given to residents of neighborhoods including Beach Flats, Lower Ocean, Live Oak, Watsonville, San Lorenzo Valley, and the Pajaro Valley.
Applicants do not need extensive professional experience. The program is intended to help young people develop the skills, confidence, and connections necessary to enter the workforce.
There is no cost to apply.
From Internship to Career
The program builds on the success of its first cohort, which placed young adults with local businesses and nonprofits.
Previous participants gained experience in software engineering, marketing, communications, video production, and community outreach.
Yuliana Morales-Galvan, a software engineering intern at Nurbli, helped improve digital tools supporting Indigenous families. Emily Ramirez developed social media and outreach skills at Clean Oceans International, while Elsa Tamayo gained marketing and communications experience at Siena House.
These experiences demonstrate how a paid internship can provide more than a paycheck. Interns build confidence, develop professional relationships, and gain experience that strengthens future job and college applications.
How to Apply
Young adults interested in exploring available positions are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

Agreement Expands tZERO’s Infrastructure-as-a-Service Business, Pairing Temple’s Proprietary Onchain Trading Technology With tZERO’s Regulated Broker-Dealer and ATS Capabilities
NEW YORK, NY - October 22, 2026 - tZERO Group, Inc., the Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) company powering tokenized financial markets, today announced that Temple Digital Group has engaged tZERO Securities, LLC to serve as the registered broker-dealer and alternative trading system (ATS) operator for Temple’s proprietary tokenized securities trading platform on the Canton Network.
Under the agreement, Temple will support its trading technology with tZERO Securities’ regulated operating infrastructure, including client onboarding and transaction services. This lets Temple bring tokenized securities trading to its clients without building its own broker-dealer and ATS capabilities.
“Institutions building tokenized markets need a regulated operating foundation that can work with their technology and business model,” said Alan Konevsky, Chief Executive Officer of tZERO. “Temple has developed one of the most powerful trading systems on Canton. By bringing our broker-dealer and ATS capabilities to that system, we can help Temple deliver its offering to clients while expanding the reach of tZERO’s Infrastructure-as-a-Service footprint as we focus on powering broker-dealers and other financial institutions at scale.”
Temple’s trading system includes a proprietary matching engine, an RFQ module and a central limit order book for tokenized National Market System (NMS) securities and exchange-traded products. It also includes a front-end user interface and settlement infrastructure designed to support atomic delivery-versus-payment and repurchase agreement settlement on Canton. Temple has executed over $1.6B in volume for Canton and is the largest platform by transaction volume on the network.
“We’re focused on developing regulated, onchain trading technologies for tokenized assets,” said Evan Varsamis, Chief Executive Officer of Temple Digital Group. “Working with tZERO allows us to combine our solutions with an established broker-dealer and ATS operator, providing the regulated infrastructure needed to support securities on our platform at scale.”
tZERO Securities, an SEC-registered broker-dealer and FINRA/SIPC member, will operate the dedicated platform. Implementation is pending; launch timing and product availability will be announced separately.

PLYMOUTH, UK – 22 October 2026 – Businesses investing in LinkedIn for B2B lead generation could be undermining their own sales performance by applying outdated prospecting techniques to social selling, according to LinkedIn training and social selling specialists Maverrik.
Drawing on more than a decade of experience working with sales teams, Maverrik has identified ten recurring mistakes that can prevent businesses from turning LinkedIn activity into meaningful sales opportunities.
From poorly structured prospecting processes and ineffective messaging to premature adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) and sales automation, the findings highlight why simply increasing activity on LinkedIn does not necessarily translate into a stronger sales pipeline.
Dean Seddon, Founder and CEO of Maverrik and a LinkedIn and social selling expert, explains that one of the most significant challenges is the assumption that traditional sales techniques will deliver the same results on social platforms.
"Too many sales teams treat LinkedIn like another place to send cold emails. They invest in tools, increase their activity and then wonder why the pipeline isn't growing. The problem is often the process they've put around it."
The 10 LinkedIn Prospecting Mistakes Sales Teams Need to Avoid
Maverrik has highlighted ten areas where businesses frequently struggle to implement effective social selling strategies:
Failing to adapt sales culture: Treating social selling like cold calling or email outreach rather than a relationship-led approach.Lack of leadership support: Introducing LinkedIn prospecting without securing buy-in from sales managers and senior decision-makers.No defined social selling process: Expecting salespeople to generate leads without a structured approach to connecting, engaging and converting prospects.Poor time management: Spending hours browsing LinkedIn without clear prospecting objectives or measurable outcomes.Ineffective lead management: Failing to track and nurture early-stage prospects through tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator.Weak LinkedIn profiles: Overlooking the importance of personal profiles in establishing credibility and communicating value to potential clients.Connecting with prospects too late: Waiting until a sales opportunity arises rather than building relevant professional networks in advance.Poor sales and marketing integration: Missing opportunities to coordinate content, LinkedIn events and prospect engagement across both departments.Introducing AI and automation prematurely: Automating LinkedIn outreach before establishing which prospecting activities generate meaningful results.Using ineffective LinkedIn messaging: Replicating traditional cold email sequences rather than adapting communications to the conversational nature of LinkedIn.
According to Maverrik, one of the most common causes of underperforming LinkedIn prospecting programmes is the failure to recognise that social selling requires different behaviours from traditional outbound sales.
While cold calling and email campaigns often prioritise immediate responses, successful social selling depends on developing familiarity, establishing relevance and building trust before introducing a sales conversation.
Businesses that apply aggressive outreach techniques too early risk losing prospects who may otherwise have been receptive to a more considered approach.
Maverrik recommends that organisations introduce a clearly defined social selling process, supported by leadership, practical training and measurable prospecting activities.
Rather than focusing exclusively on the number of connection requests or messages sent, sales teams should evaluate whether their activity is progressing relevant prospects towards meaningful business conversations.
AI and LinkedIn Automation Are Not a Substitute for Sales Strategy
The growing adoption of AI-powered sales tools presents another challenge for businesses attempting to scale their LinkedIn lead generation activities.
Although automation can improve efficiency, Maverrik warns that implementing these technologies before establishing an effective sales process can amplify existing problems.
"AI can make a good social selling process more efficient, but it won't fix a poor one," explains Dean.
"If you automate the wrong message or the wrong approach, you're simply scaling something that wasn't working in the first place. Sales teams need to understand how to generate conversations manually before looking at what technology can automate."
Maverrik advises businesses to establish successful manual prospecting methods before introducing AI tools, automated messaging or additional sales technology.
A More Strategic Approach to LinkedIn Lead Generation
For organisations seeking to improve their B2B sales performance, Maverrik recommends greater alignment between sales and marketing teams, improved LinkedIn profile optimisation and more structured use of LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
Creating relevant content, organising LinkedIn events and developing relationships with potential buyers before an immediate sales requirement arises can all contribute to a more effective prospecting strategy.
Businesses should also ensure that salespeople understand how to move prospects through the different stages of social selling, from the initial connection and engagement through to a qualified conversation and potential sale.
The central message, according to Maverrik, is that successful LinkedIn lead generation requires more than increased activity. It requires a repeatable process supported by the right training, leadership and tools.

Featured, the AI co-pilot for PR, today launched Find Bookstores, a search of 1,093 independent U.S. bookstores built for authors and book publicists planning signings and book tours. Users name a place or a genre in Featured's chat and get the stores that host author events, with a link to each store's website or events page and, where the store publishes one, its email.
Type a request such as "Bookstores in Texas that host author signings" or "Mystery bookstores in California" and Featured returns the matching stores. Each result shows the store's name and location, a short description of its programming, a link to its website or events page, and an email address when the store publishes one. Users can then ask Featured to draft the pitch in the same chat.
Find Bookstores is available on every Featured plan, including Free. Book publicists can plan the rest of the tour in the same place: Featured answers requests for bookstores and speaking opportunities in the same chat, and Find Podcasts covers the interviews around each stop.
Independent bookstores are growing. The American Booksellers Association's 2025 annual report counted 605 new bookstore businesses opened in 2025, including 399 storefronts, against 65 closures, with openings up 87% from 2024. ABA membership reached 3,417 members operating 3,783 locations, nearly double the 1,775 members the association counted in 2016 and, according to the Associated Press, the highest since the late 1990s. For an author, each of those stores is a room and a crowd that chose to come.
“When my book came out, I pitched Changing Hands in Tempe for a talk and signing,” said Brett Farmiloe, Founder and CEO of Featured. “What made it tough is that as a first-time author, I had no idea what I was doing when it came down to promoting my book. Featured simplifies that path, and connects authors with the stores that host events and can move product.”
Of the 1,093 stores in Featured's database, 59.9% link to a public events or calendar page and 37.6% publish an email address for the store. The stores span all 50 states and the District of Columbia across 796 cities, and 36.6% describe author events, readings or signings in their own words.
Find Bookstores runs inside the same Featured chat users already use to find Substack publications and TV stations. It is live now at featured.com. Free to start. No credit card.

Beverly Hills, CA Thursday Oct 22, 2026 @ 5:00 AM Central —
Schoenberg Family Law Group, P.C. (SFLG), a California family law firm founded by Certified Family Law Specialist Debra R. Schoenberg, has opened a new office at 9665 Wilshire Blvd, M10, in Beverly Hills. The office marks the firm’s first permanent location in Southern California and gives Los Angeles County clients direct, local access to a firm that has handled complex divorce and custody cases for nearly 40 years.
The Beverly Hills office will serve clients throughout Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Holmby Hills, West Hollywood, and the greater Los Angeles area. Attorneys at the new location handle the full range of family law matters, including contested and uncontested divorce, legal separation, child custody and visitation, child and spousal support, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and post-judgment modifications.
“The opening of our Beverly Hills office marks an exciting new chapter for our firm and expands our ability to serve families across California,” said Debra Schoenberg, Founder and Principal of Schoenberg Family Law Group. “For nearly four decades, we’ve guided clients through some of life’s most difficult transitions with compassion, thoughtful counsel and a strategic approach. We’re proud to extend that same personalized service to individuals and families in Southern California and throughout the state.”
A Focus on High-Asset and Complex Family Law Cases
High-asset divorces are common in Beverly Hills and the surrounding communities, and they often involve business interests, real estate portfolios, investment accounts, executive compensation, and entertainment-industry income such as residuals and royalties. SFLG’s attorneys work with forensic accountants and valuation experts to identify, value, and divide community and separate property under California law, and to uncover assets when a spouse fails to make full financial disclosure.
The firm often resolves cases through negotiation and mediation, maintaining privacy in sensitive family and financial matters. If settlements fail, SFLG's trial attorneys litigate in the Los Angeles County Superior Court, including the Stanley Mosk Courthouse.
SFLG aims for negotiated resolutions but prepares each case for trial to ensure clients negotiate from a position of strength.
Led by a Board-Certified Family Law Specialist
Debra R. Schoenberg is a Certified Family Law Specialist designated by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization, a Board-Certified Family Law Trial Specialist through the National Board of Trial Advocacy, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. The Daily Journal has named her one of California’s Top Family Lawyers each year from 2022 through 2026.
SFLG was voted the No. 1 Family Law Firm in California for six consecutive years, 2021 through 2026, in a statewide poll of judges, attorneys, and law firm administrators conducted by The Recorder. The San Francisco Business Times has also named the firm one of the Best Places to Work in the Bay Area. Together, the firm’s attorneys bring more than 400 years of collective family law experience.
