Afro Nation Co-Founder Dr Adesegun "Dr King SMADE" Adeosun Jr Joins African Collaborations Group (ACG) Advisory Board to Advance Sport and Entertainment Districts Across Africa

African Collaborations Group (ACG) (www.ACGafrica.com), the leading strategic project origination and collaboration platform focused on the industrialisation of sport in Africa through the origination of bankable sport and entertainment district ecosystems, today announced the appointment of Dr Adesegun Adeosun Jr, widely known as Dr King SMADE, to its Advisory Board. Dr Adeosun is Founder of SMADE Group, the cultural enterprise powering African creativity worldwide, and Co-Founder of Afro Nation, the world's largest Afrobeats festival. Over more than two decades, he has played a defining role in the global rise of Afrobeats, taking African music from the diaspora underground to the global mainstream, and building the platforms, venues, festivals and campaigns that carried it there. His work spans music, live entertainment, cultural infrastructure and cultural diplomacy across Africa, Europe, the Caribbean and North America. He has promoted and produced headline shows for many of the biggest names in African music, including Wizkid, Burna Boy, Davido and Tiwa Savage, and holds the historic distinction of selling out London's O2 Arena three nights in a row for Wizkid — a first in the arena's history for an African act. He co-launched the Official UK Afrobeats Chart, contributed to the Billboard US Afrobeats Chart, and built cultural infrastructure through venues including SMADE Lounge and programming partnerships with institutions such as The Africa Centre. His current work sits deliberately at the intersection of music, policy, tourism and economic development, using culture as a strategic tool for job creation, investment, exports and long-term nation branding, and building sustainable creative ecosystems anchored on talent pipelines, ownership pathways and global partnerships that ensure culture is economically protected and future-proofed. His appointment to the ACG Advisory Board is strategically foundational to ACG's doctrine. Sport and entertainment districts, at the scale ACG is originating, cannot be conceived as sport infrastructure with entertainment layered on afterwards; they must be designed as integrated sport and entertainment ecosystems from the outset. Entertainment programming — music, festivals, concerts, cultural events — is what fills a district on non-match days, sustains the venue economics that underpin financial bankability, animates the surrounding retail, hospitality and public realm, and turns a stadium project into a lived cultural asset for the city and country that host it. Dr King SMADE's appointment ensures that this integrated logic is embedded into ACG's work from the first conception of a project, not added as an afterthought. His appointment brings to the ACG Advisory Board an unmatched combination of cultural entrepreneurship, festival and venue programming expertise, deep relationships across the artistic, cultural and diaspora communities, and a demonstrated track record of building cultural infrastructure that generates real economic value — capabilities directly relevant to originating and structuring large-scale sport and entertainment district projects across the African continent. "You cannot think sport infrastructure without thinking entertainment from the outset, and Dr King SMADE's appointment is a strategic statement of exactly that principle. What he has built with Afro Nation and SMADE Group — a global cultural platform anchored in African creativity — is the very ecosystem thinking that ACG is applying to sport and entertainment districts across the continent. His presence on our Advisory Board ensures that entertainment, culture and creative economy considerations are embedded into every project we originate from the first conception, not added at a later stage. That is what makes district ecosystems financially viable, culturally alive, and genuinely valuable to the cities and communities they serve," said Nicolas Pompigne-Mognard (www.Pompigne-Mognard.com), Founder and Executive Chairman of ACG. The ACG Advisory Board provides strategic guidance as ACG originates and structures large-scale sport and entertainment district projects across the continent, aligning governments, development finance institutions (DFIs), investors, sport bodies and infrastructure partners to support the development of financially sustainable, mixed-use district ecosystems. Africa's sport economy is projected to reach $20 billion by 2035, yet the continent continues to lack the integrated district ecosystems required to support large-scale development. ACG addresses this gap by originating bankable sport and entertainment district projects, moving beyond single-venue development models towards mixed-use, revenue-generating and financially sustainable district ecosystems. Through its collaborative model, ACG convenes governments, PPP authorities and regulators, development finance institutions, private investors, developers, designers and engineers, legal and transaction advisors, operators, sport federations and leagues, event promoters, media and broadcast partners, academic institutions and host communities, creating structured pathways from concept to feasibility, bankability and delivery. Media contact: marie@apo-opa.com About African Collaborations Group (ACG): www.ACGafrica.com) is the leading strategic project origination and collaboration platform focused on the industrialisation of sport in Africa through the origination of bankable sport and entertainment district ecosystems. By convening governments, private-sector partners, development finance institutions, sport and entertainment stakeholders, and academic institutions, ACG creates structured pathways that transform concepts into investable and deliverable district projects across the continent.

TNT Coming Soon to Walmart.com as U.S. Expansion Continues

Boca Raton, Florida Wednesday Oct 21, 2026 @ 5:00 AM Eastern — True Nutrition Technology (TNT), the German sports nutrition brand serving more than 500,000 customers, is moving forward with plans to make its products available on Walmart.com, marking another step in the company's ongoing expansion into the United States. The upcoming Walmart.com availability will build on TNT's existing presence through Amazon and OneLavi, expanding the online retail options available to American consumers interested in the company's German sports nutrition portfolio. "Walmart.com represents another important opportunity for TNT as we continue building our presence in the United States," said Markus Himmelstoss, Managing Director of TNT. "We've established a strong customer base in Europe, and our goal is to make TNT more accessible to American consumers through the online retail platforms they already know and use." Expanding Access to German Sports Nutrition TNT's U.S. retail strategy is focused on introducing its established European sports nutrition portfolio to a broader American audience through recognized retail platforms. The company's product lineup includes Creatine Monohydrate Creapure®, CLEAR WHEY protein isolate, Synapsensause Pre-Workout, and Game Changer, a carbohydrate and electrolyte formulation. TNT has developed its brand around German product development, quality standards, and a focus on athletes and active consumers. As the company expands in the United States, its retail strategy emphasizes both product availability and building awareness of TNT as an established international sports nutrition brand. "We believe American consumers appreciate quality, transparency, and brands with a clear identity," Himmelstoss said. "TNT has spent years building that foundation in Germany and Europe. Our U.S. expansion is about introducing that same commitment to a new market." Building on Recent U.S. Retail Activity The planned Walmart.com availability follows TNT's participation in the September ECRM Vitamin, Weight Management & Sports Nutrition Session in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, where the company introduced its product portfolio to U.S. retail buyers. That participation was part of TNT's broader effort to develop relationships within the American retail marketplace while continuing to expand its online distribution. With Amazon and OneLavi already providing access to TNT products in the United States, Walmart.com represents another opportunity to broaden the brand's reach. The company views its U.S. expansion as a long-term effort that combines established retail platforms, brand education, and continued introductions to American consumers. Continuing TNT's U.S. Growth TNT's expansion reflects its strategy of building on an established European customer base while adapting to the opportunities of the American sports nutrition marketplace. The company plans to continue supporting its existing U.S. retail presence while preparing for its upcoming Walmart.com availability. "Every new retail platform gives us another opportunity to introduce TNT to consumers who may not yet be familiar with our brand," Himmelstoss said. "We're excited about the progress we're making and look forward to continuing that growth in the United States." TNT products are currently available to U.S. consumers through Amazon and OneLavi, with Walmart.com availability planned. Where American Consumers Can Purchase TNT Products TNT Creatine Monohydrate Creapure®  Powder on OneLavi TNT Synapsensause Pre-Workout "Wild Berry" Pre-Workout Booster on Amazon TNT Synapsensause Pre-Workout "Wild Berry" Pre-Workout Booster on OneLavi TNT Clear Whey Protein Isolate - Peach Iced Tea on OneLavi About TNT (True Nutrition Technology) Founded in Germany by former athletes Michael Weigl and Markus Himmelstoss, TNT (True Nutrition Technology) is a leading sports nutrition brand trusted by more than 500,000 customers. QNX Research Finds Automotive Developers Spend More than a Third of Their Time on Software "Plumbing" Slowing SDV Innovation

Second annual global study of 1,100 automotive software developers finds persistent integration challenges, rising security concerns and a more practical view of AI in SDV development Key Findings from the 2026 Under the Hood: SDV Developer Report: 35% of developer effort is spent, on average, on software integration work below the vehicle application layer rather than building differentiating consumer features with 19% spending at least half their time on that integration work. 76% agree that OEMs should prioritize application-layer innovation over software infrastructure, highlighting the continued importance of focusing on delivering differentiating customer experiences. 75% say the lack of a common, reusable software foundation slows SDV development. Security is now the number one future concern among developers (48%), and 83% believe SDVs will become a major cyberattack target within the next three years. AI expectations are becoming more practical: only a quarter think AI will be ‘transformational' (down from 36%), while those seeing it as significant and integrated into workflows rose to 62%.

Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) equips African library professionals to navigate the Artificial Intelligence (AI) era

As artificial intelligence transforms how information is produced, accessed and used, African libraries and information professionals have a growing role to play in ensuring that knowledge remains accessible, reliable and relevant to the continent's development. This was at the centre of a three-day training on “Empowering African Libraries and Information Professionals for the AI Era,” bringing together participants from universities, libraries and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA). Opening the training, ECA's Director of Strategic Planning, Oversight and Results Division (SPORD), Said Adejumobi, highlighted the importance of strengthening collaboration between African institutions and expertise across the diaspora. “The collaboration between African institutions and the diaspora should be highly encouraged if Africa is to tap into its knowledge base, compete with the rest of the world, and accelerate its development agenda,” he said. Led by experts from Solent University and Dublin City University, the training covers metadata and resource discovery, artificial intelligence and data literacy, user-centred library services, practical applications of AI and planning for the future of library and information services. The programme comes as libraries increasingly navigate both the opportunities and challenges created by artificial intelligence. While AI can improve access to information, resource discovery and knowledge services, its growing use also raises concerns around misinformation, bias, copyright and the reliability of information. For libraries, this makes strong information management systems, quality metadata and professional oversight increasingly important in ensuring that knowledge can be accurately discovered, interpreted and used. Getaneh Alemu, a systems and data librarian at Solent University, said the training “underscores ECA's commitment to building future-ready libraries that leverage emerging technologies, enhance access to knowledge, and support Africa's sustainable development agenda.” ECA Senior Librarian Solomon Weldetensay said the training aims to equip African library and information professionals with the skills to harness AI responsibly, improve resource discovery and strengthen library services, while supporting greater knowledge sharing across the continent. As AI becomes increasingly embedded in research, education and professional life, strengthening the capacity of African knowledge institutions will be essential to ensuring that the continent is not only a consumer of emerging technologies, but is equipped to shape how knowledge is organized, accessed and used in the AI era.
