The East African Community (EAC) Partner States have advanced regional efforts to strengthen e-commerce and digital trade, with a focus on improving data and monitoring, building consumer trust, enhancing preparedness for implementation of the AfCFTA Protocol on Digital Trade, and accelerating implementation of the EAC E-Commerce Strategy.
The measures were discussed during the EAC Regional E-Commerce Engagement Platform meeting held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, from 13th to 15th October, 2026. The Platform provides a structured mechanism for Partner States to collaborate on areas critical to the effective implementation of the EAC E-Commerce Strategy, including policy and regulation, digital infrastructure, logistics, cybersecurity, online marketplaces and payment systems.
A major focus of the meeting was strengthening the Monitoring and Evaluation Tool for the EAC E-Commerce Strategy. Partner States reviewed and updated baseline data, drawing on recommendations emerging from National E-Commerce Engagement Platforms held between September and October 2026. The process is expected to strengthen the availability and quality of data for tracking implementation of the Strategy and informing policy decisions.
The Chairperson of the meeting, Mr. Chris Matsiko, Commercial Officer at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives, Uganda, noted that e-commerce presents significant opportunities to expand market access, facilitate cross-border trade, promote entrepreneurship and enable micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) to participate more effectively in regional and global value chains.
“These opportunities can only be realised through deliberate and coordinated efforts to address prevailing challenges, including gaps in digital infrastructure, regulatory frameworks, logistics, payment systems, digital skills, consumer protection and the availability of reliable data to inform policy decisions,” said Mr. Matsiko.
The meeting also considered lessons emerging from the Knowledge Exchange Forum on Building Trust in E-Commerce, held in Switzerland and Serbia in July 2026, and identified priority areas for regional action to strengthen trust and confidence in cross-border e-commerce. These actions include harmonising consumer protection frameworks, strengthening online dispute resolution mechanisms, promoting initiatives that enhance trust in digital transactions, and deepening public-private dialogue to support a more secure, transparent and enabling regional e-commerce environment.
Speaking during the meeting, Mr. Gordon Kalema, Eastern Africa Regional Digital Integration Project (EARDIP) Project Manager, noted that digital trade presents an important opportunity to deepen regional integration and expand market opportunities for East African businesses.
“Intra-EAC trade has grown from USD 1.6 billion in 2005 to USD 19.65 billion in 2025, underscoring the significant potential of e-commerce to build on this progress by expanding market access, creating new opportunities for businesses and further deepening regional economic integration,” said Mr. Kalema.
Partner States also reviewed progress in implementing the EAC E-Commerce Strategy and considered measures to further strengthen coordination and accelerate implementation. Through continued cooperation under the Regional E-Commerce Engagement Platform, the EAC seeks to foster a more coordinated, trusted and evidence-driven environment in which businesses and consumers can take advantage of the opportunities presented by e-commerce and digital trade.
Through the Eastern Africa Regional Digital Integration Project (EARDIP), the EAC is advancing the development of a regional single digital market by strengthening connectivity, harmonising data governance, enhancing cybersecurity, improving digital payment interoperability and supporting cross-border e-commerce. Together, these interventions are helping to create a more connected, secure and integrated digital environment in which businesses and consumers can access services, transact and participate in the regional digital economy across borders.

Gross margin of 72.6% (1H FY2025: 79.7%), reflecting a smaller inventory build, new imported purchases and higher manufacturing overhead.

Management Commentary
“This is the first set of results we have reported since completing our Nasdaq listing in July. Until now, investors have had little visibility into who we are as a management team and what our business actually does. We chose to report our first half now, and will continue to report every six months, so that shareholders can judge us on facts: revenue grew almost 10% in yen terms, we returned to profit, and our customer base is broader than a year ago. We are not satisfied with our gross margin or cash position, and improving both is our priority for the second half,” said Tomoki Nagano, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
“Each of the initiatives we announced since July - our U.S. collaboration with INVITRX, our Indonesian product partnership, the GENREVER Clinic in Jakarta and our IN01 representation - is progressing on schedule. Our target is to have them operational by the end of calendar 2026, with revenue contribution beginning in fiscal 2027.”
Financial Position and Liquidity
At May 31, 2026, total assets were USD 4,080,414, total liabilities USD 1,994,227 and total equity USD 2,086,187 (November 30, 2025: total assets USD 2,994,989, total liabilities USD 952,394 and total equity USD 2,042,595). The increases from November 30, 2025 were driven mainly by other receivables and prepayments, including advances to related parties, and by other payables, including borrowings from directors and related parties. Cash and bank balances were USD 25,565 (November 30, 2025: USD 124,764). The Operating Group’s liquidity depends on collecting receivables, including from related parties, continued support from directors and related parties, and obtaining additional financing as needed. The directors have concluded that the Operating Group has adequate resources to continue as a going concern for at least twelve months. See “Liquidity and Capital Resources” in the Form 6-K.
Overseas Initiatives
The following initiatives, announced between July and September 2026, did not contribute to 1H FY2026 revenue. All are targeted to be operational within calendar 2026, with revenue contribution expected from fiscal 2027, subject to definitive agreements, regulatory approvals and partner performance.
United States: GENREVER-branded cosmetics to be manufactured by INVITRX at its U.S. GMP facility for the U.S. market
Indonesia: first two cosmetic products with PT Parva Candela Kosmetick
Jakarta: membership-based GENREVER Clinic, targeted to open in December 2026
IN01: non-exclusive representation of CelSiege BioSciences’ cancer immunotherapy program in Japan and China

The Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) and electronicAsia concluded successfully today. The four-day fairs attracted over 61,000 buyers from 141 countries and regions who visited Hong Kong to source products and explore business opportunities
This year's Electronics Fair focused on three highlighted themes: AI & Robotics, Smart Wellness and NEXTEntertainment, with related products showcased across various thematic zones. electronicAsia also featured dedicated zones presenting electronic components, display technologies, printed circuit boards, electronic manufacturing services, and testing and measuring equipment, creating a comprehensive one-stop sourcing marketplace for the electronics industry.
More than 130 exhibitors participated in the Smart Wellness sector, showcasing a wide range of products and solutions, including digital health devices, smart wearables, personal care technologies, gerontech and consumer electronics for healthy living. The strong participation reflects growing market demand for technology-enabled health management solutions and innovations that enhance quality of life.
Silas Chu, HKTDC Associate Executive Director, said: "This year's Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) and electronicAsia achieved a fruitful outcome, bringing together exhibitors, buyers, investors and industry players from around the world. The fairs generated strong sourcing momentum and facilitated numerous business deals and partnerships. As the industry continues to transform and upgrade, the role of trade fairs is also evolving, extending beyond traditional product showcases and sourcing activities to become important platforms for fostering innovation, industry exchange and cross-sector collaboration, while reinforcing Hong Kong's strengths as an international trade centre. The newly introduced Future Industries Zone attracted strong interest from technology companies, investors and buyers, while the GoGlobal Connect Zone and its related activities were also well received, reflecting strong demand from Chinese Mainland enterprises seeking to expand overseas and leverage Hong Kong's professional services. This highlights our city's unique role as a bridge connecting industries with global markets."
This year's Autumn Electronics Fair introduces the new Future Industries Zone, spotlighting five key themes: Future Computing, Future Manufacturing, Future Marine & Quantum Technologies, Future Microelectronics, and Future Wellness. Pictured is exhibitor Lenovo showcasing a diverse range of innovative technologies and solutions.
Mr Chu added: "As Hong Kong's October exhibition season continues, the HKTDC will organise a series of major exhibitions and conferences, including the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition), Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo, and Eco Expo Asia later this month. These events will create more cross-industry collaboration opportunities while leveraging Hong Kong's unique advantage in connecting the Chinese Mainland with international markets. They also align with the Hong Kong SAR Government's latest Policy Address and first Five-Year Plan which emphasise accelerating innovation and technology development, promoting AI adoption and strengthening Hong Kong's position as an international trade centre."
Survey: over 80% of respondents optimistic about ASEAN and Middle East markets; AI emerges as a key growth driver
An independent research agency commissioned by the organisers interviewed over 1,150 buyers and exhibitors during the fairs. The survey found that 96% of respondents expected overall sales to increase or remain stable over the next 12 to 24 months, reflecting cautious optimism about the industry's medium-term market outlook.
Respondents were particularly positive about future sales prospects in several areas, with the most promising growth opportunities identified in ASEAN (83%), the Middle East (83%) and Chinese Mainland (81%). The findings suggest that companies are actively diversifying their business footprint and exploring new growth markets.
The adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) continues to accelerate in the electronics industry, with 74% of surveyed companies already applying or planning to apply generative AI technologies. The main areas of application include product design and development, data analysis and reporting, sales and customer engagement, as well as marketing and content creation. Meanwhile, nearly 60% of respondents identified AI as the technology expected to have the greatest impact on the industry over the next two years.
The two fairs featured more than 3,200 exhibitors from 15 countries and regions. The HKTDC organised 130 buying missions involving buyers from 65 countries and regions, including companies such as Samsung Electronics and SSG.com from Korea, Karimex, Stetsom and Mondial from Brazil; Mercado Libre from Argentina; Garni Technology, Varitec Corp and Pan Pacific International from Czechia; Reichelt Elektronik from Germany; Taç Elektronik from Turkey; and Pixel Electric Ltd from Kenya, further reinforcing Hong Kong's role as a platform connecting international markets with innovative supply chains.

Its CEO and Co-founder Victor Nesteruk said: "Through the fairs, we connected with around 30 potential investors and business partners from markets including the Chinese Mainland, Brazil and Cyprus. We also arranged around 20 business meetings and secured two strategic cooperation opportunities. The fairs provide start-ups with an efficient platform to connect with international markets, and we will definitely participate again."
In addition to business matching, the exhibition also helped start-ups explore business and fundraising opportunities through its Investment Matchmaking programme. Korea's Posco Investment attended the fair to explore strategic investment opportunities. The company's typical investment size for each project is around US$750,000. Olivia Park, Venture Capital Manager of Posco Investment, said: "We met with three to five high-potential technology companies and are currently conducting further due diligence and follow-up discussions with one start-up developing smart audio glasses for runners."
The fairs featured numerous product debuts, with many companies choosing the platform to unveil their latest technologies and solutions to international buyers. Shenzhen-based VIGX Technology Co., Ltd. showcased the world's first pocket-sized AI-powered exoskeleton robot, overcoming the traditional limitations of bulky and cumbersome industrial exoskeletons. The product attracted strong interest from buyers, with nearly 1,000 visitors recorded during the first two days of the fair alone, including quality buyers from Europe, North America, and South American markets such as Argentina, Brazil and Chile. Wang Han, Overseas Sales Manager of VIGX, said: "The fair provides an ideal platform for us to showcase our latest innovations, accelerating the commercialisation of new technologies and their expansion into overseas markets. If market testing generates positive feedback, it could lead to volume purchases and potential orders worth around RMB1 million."
Supporting Chinese Mainland enterprises in going global
The HKTDC is one of the core members of the government-led GoGlobal Task Force. This year, the fairs featured the dedicated GoGlobal Connect Zone, offering support on financing, intellectual property, compliance, logistics and risk management to help Chinese Mainland enterprises leverage Hong Kong's international platform and professional services to connect with global markets. The zone received an enthusiastic response, attracting a large number of enquiries and registrations from businesses and professionals interested in expanding their overseas presence. At the same time, many Chinese Mainland technology companies actively used the fair as a springboard for global expansion.

Boca Raton, Florida Friday Oct 16, 2026 @ 5:00 AM Eastern —
AgeReverse, a Canadian longevity company focused on healthy aging and cellular vitality, today announced that its flagship RESURGE formulation is now available to U.S. consumers on Amazon, marking another significant step in the company’s expansion into the American market.
The Amazon launch follows a series of U.S. expansion initiatives for AgeReverse, including the company’s recent participation in the ECRM Vitamin, Weight Management & Sports Nutrition Session in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. With RESURGE now available through one of the country’s largest online marketplaces, AgeReverse is expanding consumer access while continuing to introduce its broader science-first approach to healthy aging.
“Making RESURGE available on Amazon is an important milestone for AgeReverse because it gives consumers across the United States convenient access to our first product in the market,” said Kubi Turkmen, Founder and CEO of AgeReverse. “We are building AgeReverse around a comprehensive view of healthy aging, and RESURGE represents the internal wellness component of that larger vision.”
AgeReverse developed RESURGE around the scientific concept of the 12 Hallmarks of Aging, a framework used by researchers to describe interconnected biological processes associated with aging. Rather than focusing on a single ingredient or isolated wellness benefit, the company designed RESURGE as a multi-ingredient formulation intended to support multiple aspects of healthy aging and everyday wellness.
The 90-capsule formulation combines ingredients including NMN, Resveratrol, Quercetin, Fisetin, CoQ10, Astragalus Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Aronia Extract and Noni Berry into a simplified three-capsule daily regimen.
Key features and benefits of RESURGE include:
Designed to support all 12 Hallmarks of Aging through a comprehensive longevity-focused formulation
Combines ingredients including NMN, Resveratrol, Quercetin, Fisetin, CoQ10, Astragalus Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Aronia Extract, and Noni Berry
Provides antioxidant support to help protect cells from oxidative stress and free radical damage
Supports nutrient metabolism and overall cellular health
Helps support cardiovascular health and immune system function
Supports collagen formation, connective tissue development, and skin quality
Helps maintain healthy joints, cartilage, bones, gums, and connective tissue
Includes herbal ingredients traditionally used as capillary and blood vessel protectants
Consolidates what the company describes as 15+ supplement protocols into a simplified 3-capsule daily routine
Manufactured in GMP-certified facilities in Ontario, Canada using vegan capsules

The Amazon availability also advances a broader AgeReverse strategy that extends beyond nutritional wellness. The company is developing a complete range of healthy aging products and technologies intended to address both internal wellness and external skin aging.
The planned AgeReverse product range includes a Bioage Test, daily skincare products developed around the 12 Hallmarks of Aging, professional mesotherapy products for the medical aesthetics and medspa markets, and non-invasive mesotherapy technology designed to deliver skincare formulations without needles.
“Our vision has always extended beyond one product,” Turkmen added. “We believe healthy aging should be approached from both inside and outside the body. RESURGE gives U.S. consumers an introduction to that philosophy, and Amazon gives us an important channel for building awareness and accessibility as the AgeReverse product range grows.”
AgeReverse is positioning its expanding portfolio around a science-first philosophy aimed at men and women interested in longevity, healthy aging, cellular wellness and maintaining vitality as they age. The company plans to serve both consumers and professionals in the medical aesthetics market as additional products are introduced.
RESURGE is now available to U.S. consumers on Amazon. AgeReverse plans to continue expanding its product range and U.S. presence as additional products become available.
