HONG KONG, Sept 14, 2026 - From 10 to 11 September 2026, COSCO SHIPPING Ports Limited (“COSCO SHIPPING Ports” or “CSP” or the “Company”, SEHK: 1199), the world’s leading ports logistics service provider, today announced took part in Hong Kong Green Week and the 7th edition of ReThink HK. The Company shared its practices and insights on low-carbon initiatives, smart port development and ecological conservation, centering on biodiversity governance and the green low-carbon transition of the shipping industry. Its continuous efforts in ESG have been recognised by the capital market, reflected in an upgrade of its Hang Seng Sustainability Rating to AA- for 2026.
Hong Kong Green Week Seminar: Exploring Nature-related Disclosure and Biodiversity Risks
On 10 September 2026, the seminar Nature-related Disclosure and Biodiversity Risk Assessment was held during Hong Kong Green Week. The event brought together investors, corporate representatives, policymakers and representatives from international organisations across China and globally for in-depth discussions on nature-related disclosure and biodiversity-risk topics. As a strategic partner, COSCO SHIPPING Ports was invited to present its nature-related assessment practices aligned with the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) framework and engage in exchanges with panellists on investor-engagement matters.

In her opening address, Ms. Venus Zhao, General Manager of Public Relations Department at COSCO SHIPPING Ports, introduced the Company’s sustainability framework GRAND (Governance, Resilience, Agility, Nature, Dynamic), where “Nature-minded Stewardship” stands as one of the core pillars. She outlined three key practical measures. First, the mitigation hierarchy of Avoidance, Mitigation, Compensation, Protection, is strictly applied to all new-build, reconstruction and expansion projects, accompanied by baseline biodiversity surveys and assessments. Second, TNFD-consistent nature-related assessments were launched in 2025 to systematically identify impacts, dependencies, risks and opportunities stemming from the Company’s operations and upstream-downstream value chains. Third, commitments are translated into tangible action through partnerships such as coral- and seagrass-habitat restoration with WWF-Hong Kong, as well as environmental-education programmes co-organised with Ocean Park Conservation Foundation Hong Kong.
Ms. Venus Zhao, General Manager of Public Relations Department, COSCO SHIPPING Ports, Delivering a Speech
The opening panel session “Nature-related Disclosure and Shareholder Engagement” featured representatives from CDP, Vontobel Asset Management, BlackRock, Fidelity International, HSBC Asset Management, and COSCO SHIPPING Ports in an open discussion. Ms. Venus Zhao shared that COSCO SHIPPING Ports has deployed the TNFD-recommended LEAP methodology to conduct nature-sensitivity assessments across its major global controlled assets. Results indicate that the vast majority of operating sites are not located in highly biodiversity-sensitive areas. The Company has also evaluated nature-related impacts, dependencies, risks and opportunities across its operations and value chains. For investor outreach, ongoing dialogue is maintained via annual roadshows and results briefings, complemented by one-on-one meetings with institutional investors to dive into technical details of methodologies and datasets for nature-risk and opportunity assessments. Several ESG-focused and sustainability-oriented institutional investors have invested in COSCO SHIPPING Ports. The TNFD-aligned work demonstrates the Company’s commitment to embedding nature considerations into decision-making and long-term value creation, strengthening operational resilience, managing risks and delivering lasting value.
ReThink HK Panel Discussion: Jointly Advancing Green Shipping Transition
On 11 September 2026, at the 7th ReThink-HK conference, representatives from COSCO SHIPPING Ports, Towngas Hong Kong, Caravel Group and SeaKapital joined the panel discussion titled Scaling Low- and Zero-Carbon Vessels and Green Fuels: Advancing a Net-Zero Fleet in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area.
ReThink HK 2026 panel discussion “Scaling Low- and Zero-Carbon Vessels and Green Fuels: Advancing a Net-Zero Fleet in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area”
Ms. Fan Li, Sustainability Manager of COSCO SHIPPING Ports, presented the Company’s ESG progress. Leveraging digital and smart technologies, the Company is driving electrification of terminal equipment and deploying renewable energy to cut operational energy consumption alongside Scope-1 and Scope-2 carbon emissions. It has also rolled out comprehensive Scope-3 carbon inventory work and developed diversified decarbonisation solutions for customers. All domestically-controlled terminals can provide shore-power supply; some of the domestic and oversea terminals are equipped for LNG tank-swap refueling services and biofuel bunking capability to support clients in carbon reduction. She referenced Hong Kong’s first green-methanol bunkering operation with simultaneous cargo handling completed in March this year for a methanol-dual-fuel container ship at COSCO-HIT Terminal. The milestone marks a key step for Hong Kong Port toward becoming a green-marine-fuel bunkering hub.
Ms. Fan further noted that multiple central-government authorities have issued policy documents setting three strategic directions: accelerated diversified green-low-carbon transition in shipping fuels; improved technical-standard frameworks for green-smart vessels; and enhanced global competitiveness of China’s shipping industry across the full value chain. Against global shifts in shipping-energy systems, China is advancing a systemic shift from “following” to “leading” in the shipping sector.
ReThink HK is Hong Kong’s flagship sustainable-business forum and solutions expo. It brings together enterprises, investment institutions, innovators, government bodies and non-governmental organisations to support stakeholders in delivering net-zero and ESG strategies and advance Hong Kong’s sustainable-transition journey.

HONG KONG, Sept 10, 2026 - The 11th Quam IR Awards (referred to as the “Awards”) was successfully held on September 9, 2026, honoring investor relations and corporate governance teams that have effectively implemented exemplary standards in a fast-changing financial market. Hosted by Quam Investor Relations, the Awards has officially embarked on its second decade, continuing its long-standing tradition of recognizing outstanding listed companies and witnessing the industry strive for continuous progress and high-quality market development.
Management of Quam Plus Financial Group, including Ms. May Mak, Chief Financial Officer (sixth from the right); and Dr. Army Yan, Chief Investment Officer (fifth from the left), took picture together with award presenters and representatives of awarded companies.
Embarking on a New Decade: Empowering Capital Markets and Value Creation
High standards of transparency and information disclosure by listed companies remain the cornerstone for investors to make informed decisions and are vital to maintaining the vitality of the capital market. For over a decade, the Quam IR Awards has been dedicated to fostering efficient communication between enterprises and the investment community, earning widespread credibility and recognition. Despite the complex macroeconomic environment and market headwinds in recent years, this year's Awards continued to receive enthusiastic support and active participation from the industry, reflecting the unwavering commitment of listed companies to uphold professionalism and deepen investor confidence amidst volatility.
Deepening ESG and High-Quality Growth Amid Evolving Global Regulations
As global sustainability standards continue to rise, the Quam IR Awards maintains its focus on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance, honoring leading enterprises in green transformation and compliance governance. This year's Awards continues to feature key recognitions, celebrating companies that demonstrate transparent market communication and fulfill long-term commitments through high-quality sustainability reporting.
In response to the latest regulatory dynamics and the comprehensive advancement of international disclosure standards such as ISSB, the event specially invited professional institutions to host keynote sessions. Recognizing the growing importance of ESG issues, the event specially invited Alaya Consulting Limited to deliver a keynote presentation. Navigating Market Challenges Together
Mr.Stacey Wong, Chief Operating Officer of Quam Plus Financial Group, said at the opening remark “The turnover of the Hong Kong stock market has gone from strength to strength, averaging about HK$240 billion per day in 2025 to close to HK$280 billion in the first half of 2026. However, the Stock Connect stocks account for about 85% of such liquidity. The remaining 2,000 companies, about 80% of all listed companies, only share 15% of the daily turnover. In addition, there are over 100 IPOs a year to fight for a piece of the pie! It is no small feat in being able to draw retail eyeballs and gain traction among the institutions.
Tough as it is, our IR friends plough on with dedication and professionalism, quietly working behind the scenes. For this, I salute you.”
Ms. May Mak, Chief Financial Officer of Quam Plus Financial Group, said “Over the past year, we have all navigated a dynamic economic environment. In a world with so much information and market fluctuation, just releasing earnings data is no longer enough. Investors are looking for more than just numbers. They want to understand the strategy behind the results, the leadership's vision for the future, and how the company holds up under pressure
Every winner in this room today is a great example of telling a successful corporate story. You have built a platform for ongoing success and communicated your long-term vision with clarity and transparency. By doing so, you have earned market trust and built confidence across Hong Kong's financial market.”

Chan, Honorary Chairman of Hong Kong Institute of Marketing; Dr Jason Ho, Board Director, Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute; and Mr. Tony Wong, Founder and GRI Nominated Trainer of Alaya Consulting Limited, as award presenters, witnessing this grand occasion.
