JOHANNESBURG Friday Oct 23, 2026 @ 2:00 AM UTC —
Life Masters, the Johannesburg-based high performance team development company led by founder Tony Dovale, has launched the Revolutionary Workplace® Leadership Alignment Accelerator, a programme and diagnostic process for repairing and aligning fractured executive, exco, management and board teams. Programmes are offered in Gauteng, South Africa, with bookings opening in January 2027.
The launch addresses a common yet often unmeasured issue in South African organizations: misaligned leadership leading to strain throughout the company. Decision-making slows, strategies falter in execution, and board-level tension affects company culture and performance.
"When an executive team is pulling in different directions, everything below it feels the strain, " said Tony Dovale, CEO, Life Masters. "We built the Leadership Alignment Accelerator so management, executive and board teams can see clearly where they are out of step and work through it together. Starting with talks and board interview meetings lets us meet each team where it actually is."
What the Accelerator is
Life Masters' Accelerator integrates leadership team diagnostics with guided sessions. These diagnostics reveal fractures within the team and highlight misalignments among members concerning priorities, decision rights, trust, and communication. The facilitated sessions then work through those gaps with the whole team together, rather than with leaders one by one. The result is a shared, tested understanding of what the team is there to achieve and how it will make decisions, resolve conflict and hold each other to account.
Who it is for
The Accelerator is designed for management teams, executive teams and boards, particularly where:
Decisions are slow or repeatedly reopened
Strategy execution has stalled
There is tension or distrust at board or exco level
Leaders are pulling in different directions or working to competing priorities
A new CEO, merger or restructure has left the leadership team unaligned
How engagements work
Each engagement is tailored to meet the specific outcomes desired by the client. Some run as a two-day leadership retreat. Others run as multi-month alignment and optimisation projects. The format depends on the organisation’s structure, locations, number of participants and the depth of process needed to resolve the fractureLeadership teams face mounting pressure to adapt swiftly amidst technological shifts, economic unpredictability, and evolving stakeholder demands. Without internal alignment, leading change becomes a formidable challenge. Life Masters' solutions are designed to address these challenges effectively.ns. A team that cannot align internally cannot lead changLeadership teams often fail not due to lack of talent but because they drift apart without measurement or resolution.rs.
Where it fits
The Accelerator is part of the Revolutionary Workplace® HPO Labs System and High Performance Teams experience. It extends Life Masters’ work on psychological safety, trust, collaboration and communication to the top of the organisation, where leadership teams are divided and need a structured way to work through the issues. Teams can move from the Accelerator into deeper work, including the High Performance Team Sprint, Execution Accelerator, Culture Reset or Executive Strategy Facilitation.

ment of 96.5% of its annual targets and the publication of 302 statistical releases during the year under review. Stats SA is central to evidence-based planning and policymaking, committee members said, providing the information required for monitoring economic growth, employment, poverty, governance and service delivery.
Nonetheless, the committee raised concerned about Stats SA’s 23% vacancy rate, with some programmes recording significantly higher vacancy levels. For example, the South African National Statistics System programme reported a vacancy rate of 43.8%, raising concerns about long-term sustainability and institutional capacity.
The committee also noted weaknesses in consequence management at Stats SA and raised concerns about the slow progress in investigating accumulated irregular expenditure of approximately R851 million and fruitless and wasteful expenditure of R14 million.
During deliberations, committee members highlighted concerns around asset management, including the safeguarding of electronic devices used during census operations. The committee questioned whether sufficient preventative measures had been implemented to recover stolen devices and reduce the likelihood of similar incidents occurring in the future.
The committee recognised that Stats SA successfully averted a major cyberattack but emphasised that additional investments in cybersecurity, ICT infrastructure and digital systems are required to safeguard critical data and modernise the organisation’s operations.
While Stats SA spent 99.3% of its allocated budget, the committee noted that the organisation continues to face severe financial and operational constraints. Members called for a comprehensive recruitment and retention strategy to address scarce skills shortages and ensure that Stats SA remains capable of delivering high-quality statistical products and services.
The committee welcomed Brand South Africa’s fourth consecutive clean audit. Members acknowledged the entity’s efforts to enhance South Africa’s international profile through platforms such as the G20 Presidency, the World Economic Forum and investment promotion engagements.
The committee noted that Brand SA spent approximately R263.5 million against a budget of R235.2 million, representing expenditure of about 112% of its available budget. However, Brand SA achieved only 82% of its performance targets.
Members questioned the relationship between expenditure and outcomes and called for stronger evidence demonstrating value for money and measurable impact. They were also concerned about Brand SA’s vacancy rate of approximately 28%, including vacancies in finance and other critical positions. Members noted that Brand SA’s structure has not been reviewed since 2014, despite changes in the communications environment and its expanding responsibilities.
The committee also voiced its concern about the absence of a fully functional internal audit unit. Members warned that this presents risks to governance, financial management, operations and risk management. The committee further raised concerns about fruitless and wasteful expenditure amounting to R5.35 million and irregular expenditure relating to work performed without a valid contract. Members called for stronger consequence management, contract management and accountability mechanisms.
The committee also questioned inconsistencies identified between Brand SA’s annual report, presentations and supporting documentation. Members noted discrepancies in some rankings, indicators and calculations presented to Parliament and called for improved quality assurance and verification processes.
Members of the committee questioned the effectiveness of Brand SA’s efforts to counter negative international narratives, misinformation and geopolitical tensions that may affect South Africa’s reputation globally. Members requested evidence demonstrating how these interventions have protected and enhanced South Africa’s image and investment attractiveness.
The committee also asked for clarity on discussions about the possibility of consolidating Brand SA with other government marketing entities and requested further information on the sustainability of its partnership-funding model and multilateral partnerships.
As part of its recommendations, the committee directed the DPME, Stats SA and Brand SA to submit corrective action plans addressing governance shortcomings, audit findings, vacancies, institutional risks and performance weaknesses. The committee also called for regular reporting to Parliament on progress in implementing the committee’s recommendations.
Committee Chairperson Ms Teliswa Mgweba said the committee will continue to closely monitor progress. “Parliament’s oversight responsibility goes beyond expenditure tracking and target reporting. Our focus is to ensure that public resources result in measurable outcomes, stronger institutions and meaningful improvements in the lives of South Africans. Accountability, consequence management and effective implementation remain critical to achieving these objectives,” said Ms Mgweba.

The Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Social Development has welcomed the allocation of R3.8 billion over the 2027 Medium-Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) period to recruit 3 552 social workers to strengthen prevention efforts in response to rising murders and attacks on women.
The allocation was announced by the Minister of Finance, Mr Enoch Godongwana, during his presentation of the Medium-Term Budget Policy Statement (MTBPS) in Parliament on Wednesday. It forms part of government’s response to the unacceptably high levels of gender-based violence and femicide (GBVF) in South Africa.
Ms Masango has welcomed the allocation, emphasising the importance of strengthening social work services to prevent violence, support vulnerable individuals and families, and intervene before situations escalate into abuse and loss of life.
She said: “The allocation is a significant step towards strengthening the country’s capacity to prevent GBVF. Social workers play a critical role in identifying risks, providing psychosocial support and intervening in vulnerable households and communities. We need to strengthen these services so that prevention is not merely an aspiration, but a practical intervention that reaches people who need it.”
Ms Masango further emphasised that the impact of the funding would depend on effective implementation, including the timely recruitment and deployment of social workers to areas where the need is greatest. She added that the committee will keep a close watch on this.
She also welcomed the following announcements by Minister Godongwana:
R186 million allocation to strengthen forensic services and investigative capacity.
Plans to expand the number of sexual offences courts from 55 to 101 and increase the number of Thuthuzela Care Centres from 72 to 80 by the 2028/29 financial year.
Ms Masango said the measures must be implemented in a coordinated manner to ensure that prevention, victim support, investigations and access to justice reinforce one another.

Nanox is working to make advanced medical imaging more accessible through digital 3D tomosynthesis technology designed to enhance visualization beyond conventional X-rays.
Its Nanox.ARC platform combines imaging hardware with cloud-based infrastructure, while the company’s broader services support image interpretation and clinical workflows.
By connecting image acquisition with remote radiology expertise and AI-powered analysis, Nanox aims to support healthcare providers’ imaging and interpretation workflows more efficiently.
LOS ANGELES, CA - October 22, 2026 - Access to medical imaging remains an important consideration for healthcare systems, particularly in underserved regions where equipment, infrastructure and trained personnel may be limited. While conventional X-rays play an essential role in diagnostic care, their two-dimensional images can make certain anatomical details more difficult to distinguish when structures overlap. In some healthcare settings, rising imaging volumes and radiologist workforce constraints can also place pressure on diagnostic services. These challenges underscore the importance of developing imaging technologies that can complement existing diagnostic approaches while integrating into established clinical environments and workflows.
Nano-X Imaging (NASDAQ: NNOX) is approaching that problem from a different direction. Nanox is assembling an integrated platform intended to extend medical imaging into outpatient facilities, clinics and other settings where conventional advanced…
